There is no conv (I assume this means CP?) in the Red Sea, but it is uncontested (ie no enemy ships), so if the units can trace to the Red Sea, they are good....

You can't scrap a FTR anyway, Germany begins the game neutral, and only active major powers can do pre-game unit scrapping....

Well, since RAW covers it, it needs a 9 STRAT LND, not an TRS to be air-transported. Very good when the rules cover an issue completely - it even happens...
