What about Spain at least letting GER use its sole division that was committed
to the war. Wasn't it the "Blue " division?

Spain wasn't a formal ally. It was no more a formal ally than the USSR.
Hitler gave formal guarantees and in many instances treaties to practically
every single country in Europe before invading or annexing them. Your belief
that he would have honored any sort of agreement with Spain is not founded upon
reality. And as somebody else mentioned, by late 1940 nobody in Europe (Spain
included I'm sure) really believed anything in the way of assurances from
Hitler.

Yes, and you can try to invade the USA, too. Still, unless the CW makes a
mistake, I'm rather sure that a close the med strategy has a better probability
than sealion of winning the game.
I'm not claiming that a close the med strategy should be made TOO hard, though,
but I would prefer if it was done by algning Franco, which should either be
linked to strategic success, or have a very high cost.
For instance, instead of linking it just to Gibraltar, one could change the
alignment of
spain rule into letting Germany align Spain if the axis held 2 out of London,
Moscow, Suez and Gibraltar. (Btw, the Spanish partisan number should be red
print.)

That's kind of hard to say in retrospect. I have the impression he was rather
popular in the arabic world:

But I really don't know what people thought of him in Sweden, Finand, Hungary,
Rumania, Bulgaria or Turkey, though I do feel that there were quite a few people
that had sympathy for the German demands to regain the territories that they had
held just 20 years earlier.
But to declare war on a formal ally would really be hard to justify.
