players are divided into groups of four based upon their
USCF rating. Each competitor then plays one game

Bellis Fair Chess for Kids meets at the mall food
court the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month beginning
September 11. All scholastic players are welcome for casual
play from 6:30-8:00pm. Sets and boards will be
provided. This year's program will be directed by David
Cutler, local tournament director and organizer.

I am arranging a carpool Saturday, July 15 from
Bellingham to the Seattle Chess Club for their monthly quad
tournament. Anyone interested or needing more info contact
David Cutler @ 733-9426 or mdavidm@.... Games are
long with time control of 40/90, 60 SD. We would need
to leave about 8am from Bham. USCF membership and WA
State membership needed...may join each at the Seattle
Club. Club is located in north Seattle, about 80 minute
drive from Bellingham.

SIMULTANEOUS<br><br>SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2000, site to be announced<br><br>The
masters, international masters and grandmasters of the
Men's and the Women's United States Championship, to be
held near Seattle September 25 through October 6,
challenge scholastic players from the Pacific Northwest to
do battle in a giant simultaneous exhibition. The
charity simul will feature 22 of our nation's best
players against 500 junior players.<br><br>Watch this

Nickelodeon's "All-Access: National Scholastic
Chess Championships" will premiere on Nickelodeon Games
and Sports (available via satellite) on Sunday,
January 23rd at 8:00pm. It will re-air on Nickelodeon
Games and Sports later the same evening, at midnight.
Subsequent airings will occur on Nickelodeon Games and
Sports at the following times: Wed., 1/26 - noon, Wed.,
1/26 - 5:00pm, Sat., 1/29 - 9:00am, Sat., 1/29 -
midnight, Sun., 1/30 - 1:30pm, Sun., 1/30 - 8:00pm. (I'd
