NW League's Spring Octagonals
Date: April 29, 2002

Site: Fairhaven Middle School, Bellingham, WA **NOTE** Fairhaven's
janitor likes to keep all the doors locked once everyone has
arrived. So please don't go outdoors during the tourney. If you do,
be sure someone knows your out there so they can let you back in
QUIETLY.

Open to: Scholastic Players from 2nd grade to 12th grade.

This tournament is 100% advance entry only. Mail or e-mail all
entries to Randy Walther (see addresses below). Must be received by
Saturday, April 27, 2002.


NOTE: Even if you think you only possibly might play in it, then
send in your entry. Do not send money! Pay only at the door. If
you don't check-in by 6:10 pm you'll be automatically dropped
from
the tournament. Players, please don't be late!


Entry Fee: $3.00 Pay only at the door!


Prizes: Medals for all 1st place finishers in each section.


Check-in: 5:45 to 6:10 pm


Premiere Section (Top four rated players). Time control: Game/50
minutes with 5 second delay

Schedule:

Round 1 6:15 pm

Round 2 8:00 pm


rmal>All other sections are three round WSRS rated Swiss paired
tournament in eight player sections seeded by WSRS ratings. Time
control: Game/32 minutes

Schedule:

Round 1 6:25 pm

Round 2 7:35 pm or sooner if possible

Round 3 8:45 pm or sooner if possible
