Perhaps the best chess software program for
elementary and middle school players (rated below 1000) is
Maurice Ashley Teaches Chess. Runs on IBM and MACs.
Problem is, it's a bit pricy. Lists at $46, USCF discount
has it at $32. However, I was pleasantly shocked when
I was browsing Ebay and observed that someone is
dumping a carton of them. Bidding on each starts at a
