Hello everyone and sorry yet again for these spotty notices.
Camarades.com
Regarding Camarades.com, we have discontinued using it for the reason that more
adult material has crept into the matrix view when we are NOT broadcasting and
their code on our page maintains a link to their site. Going forward we'll use
the dedicated server which is a multicamera view anyway, which is better.
Scheduling Broadcast Games
Whenever we broadcast a game and by the way, sometimes we broadcast recent
actions in model making not just games, most of the time the broadcasts aren't
planned so it's really tough to let you all know.
So, how would you like to be notified of when we do or anyone does for that
matter, broadcast a game or game-related event?
Get Interviewed!!
Also note that we are conducting conversations all the time with skype, at the
address imagine.image.multimedia so if you're interested, drop in US central
time from 8 to 11pm.
We want to interview you as well about your hobby and the stuff you're doing,
and we want to broadcast the recording from our site so please let me know if
you've got something to talk about and we'll make it happen.
Technology News
Regarding technology, not too much is going on other than the new Windows OS 7
and the popularity of Netbooks, which are quickly becoming the mobile video
phone because using them as actual computers has proved to be less than expected
because the keyboards are still too small to really use for normal office work,
however, as a vehicle to broadcast video it might be worth looking into, for
instance, using netbooks with a webcam at a convention.
There are many possibilities.
Rules and Miniatures: Announcing Time Driver BETA release at the end of August
2009
Regarding rules and miniatures, we're not doing anything too much different than
we have for the last year, except the big news is we're getting ready to release
the car combat rules called Time Driver.
These rules will only be available with the one-time subscription fee to The
Wargames Archive from our site, so existing members will get access to them
automatically.
So if you're into or have been thinking about getting into games with toys like
die cast matchbox, hot wheels and such, that's what we've been working on and
for car racing combat it's looking really good.
The story of the "Time Driver" is quite compelling too.
Let's here from everyone as we ramp up for games in the fall and winter of 09.
At Imagine Image Multimedia, our standard bill of faire remains as before:
ACW 15mm
WWII 1/72
Ancients 1/72
ACW 28mm -NEW!!
Hex Command Oceans (Renaissance age of sail)
Games like Time Driver, Raptors Air Combat and Hex Command NOVA and Hex Command
Colonials are too detailed, one might say skirmish level, for broadcast games,
so only the more tactical military games are suited for broadcast gaming.
Until next time!
