Re: [webcamwargaming] Hello to the group from your moderator

I have finally moved into a new house (well, new to us!) and will get my two cameras set up this winter.  I should be able to set them up with static IP (internal at least) so that each side will have a view.

Subject: [webcamwargaming] Hello to the group from your moderator

Hello everyone;

just a note to say hang in there- the economy will get better..
slowly. In the meantime, we're all saving money by broadcasting
miniature games. We've been doing more lately and I HAVE to say is
THIS COOL or WHAT!

We are doing 4x4 foot game tables and the game I ran was paratroops
1945, somewhere in Germany. I wish I could post a schedule but it's
just too hard. Suffice to say, mostly each Friday night we try to do
something or early Sunday mornings from 9 am central to noon.

Best thing about this technology: you can eat, smoke, drink-
whatever- in the comfort of your own home while you play the game.
It's just awesome and the rules we use, Hex Command, are free.

My players are mostly in Texas, but anyone is encouraged to play as
well.

So drop me a line at this group or imagineimageSPAM@comcastspam.net
(remove the spam words). The rules we use are simple and the games
are fast. I set the game and move the troops and dont mind at all,
but if you want to run a game with your miniatures just say so.

Also, if anyone has any tools that allow for more than one webcam
viewer let us know, that is, where you -the broadcaster- are
broadcasting your game and those who are watching are broadcasting
their cameras as well, though that isn't really needed but it does
let you see who they are.

Don't forget the site that supports this group too, because there are
resources there and some news as we are selling most of our 1/72
collections, for instance, we have gotten rid of all our Napoleonic
armies in the last months and have 100 years, aztec, British Empire
and Ancients also going up for sale including AngloSaxon/Norman
armies.

www.imagineimage.org for pictures.

At this time only one person at a time is enabled in MS Instant
Messenger and AUDIO is a requirement; it makes it MUCH faster than
reading text so we must do AUDIO calls.
