I recently sent my new game to Lloyd. If and when he puts it on the
site, I would really appreciate feedback from everybody about it and
if any changes need to be made. Note that I'm already planning some
expansions on it, so any suggestions would also be welcome.
Thanks!

Put those D8's to good use.
I notice weapons give a Strength & Damage bonus.
Elsewhere it seems STR = DAM.
For some reason I was reminded of the Dark Sun
campaign world.
For Historical & Fantasy arena combat I recommend
the following sourcebook:
"The Way of the Gladiator" by Daniel P. Mannix.
I just bought a bunch of D&D Miniatures:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mg/20040617a
good looking figs. my son likes them.
Some should be useable for your game.

How I can create a new races for Arena?
What algorithm for calculation cost and what limitations for
statistics?
Thank you!
Use Humans as the base.
add 10g to the cost for each point of stat increase, 10 for every 2
points of speed, 10 for every 5 wounds, and 10 per skill.
Reduce the cost by 10 for each stat reduced by 1, by 10 for each point
of speed reduced under 4, and by 10 for every 5 wounds taken away.
stats shouldnt start higher than 5, speed higher than 6, wounds higher
than 50, or more than 2 skills.
If you come up with some really clever ideas, i would be more than
willing to draw pictures of them.

Thank you!
But, in this case, race Orghar contain a error...
Orghar cost values is:
Att: 0 (3)
Def: -10 (2)
Str: 20 (5)
Tou: 10 (4)
Spd: -10 (3)
Wnds: 20 (30)
Skills 0 (-)
Total is 130, but in rules is 140.
Where mistake?
Hi!
I've updated my page
http://www.webalice.it/alecrespi/html/warpspawn.html
including new translations for the following game:
DRAGON POKER - rules and cards in italian.
please, tell me what you think about them and post a comment in my
GUESTBOOK, I'll appreciate it so much.
bye
Alessandro
Whoops! Well spotted.
Correction to the lists; Orghar cost is 130g, not 140g.

I just uploaded the playing pieces for Arena to the 2nd warpspawn
group. It isn't every combination of warriors and weapons, but its
enough to get people started.
I just attended the local Renaissance fair.
I would like to see a virtual version of such a Fair.
It should include music, images, history, games, links, etc.
This would definitely be a group/community project
requiring resources & technical skills I don't have.
If anyone else sees the potential in this let me know.

That´s a great site. One of my favorites, too.
Take a look at this site. Wargames rules from the late 1920´s and battle
fought using the rules and wooden miniatures. Please look at

This looks remarkably similiar to "Huzzah!" by
Cheapass (i think). Has anyone tried these
two yet to see how they compare?
