Yeah...most of the old stuff has disappeared but I know people here
have a few different files saved somewhere...hopefully not corrupted
(which seems to happen often for Warlords 3 stuff for some reason).
Great Idea in forming a Network.

At the moment feel free to upload some of the Better Campaigns for W3
DLR into our Files Section although it looks like we only have less
than 5MB of space there left atm.  If someone feels motivated and we
outgrow our current space we can try to find a free server for maps
and such since "WE" seem to be one of the last Warlord old school
sites standing.  Even Dancing Thief has left the fold.

Great to hear someone's found the killer-app for old Macs! ;)

Unfortunately, SSG did not create a Mac version of WL3. The last one
was a Mac version of WL2 Deluxe (includes updated WL2, 60 extra
scenarios, and, I assume, the editor), info about which is still on
ssgus.com and Heeter's page.

If you want to play the newer versions of WL on the various Mac
platforms you will probably want to go with a VM of some kind. In
your case you may be able to find an old version of Connectix Virtual
PC somewhere.

Hi, I've been a big fan of the Warlords franchise, ever since a friend
showed my Warlords I on a 286 PC aeons ago.

Warlords Battlecry 3 is the best game ever.  Beat it with about 3
different heroes. . . each getting progressively more disgusting due
to knowing the mechanics of the game better.  High Elf Assasins rule,
I must say.

I was wondering if anyone else, like me runs an older system, and
plays Warlords 3: DLR once in awhile?  I would love to get my hands on
some user custom scenarios/campaigns, but I've noticed all the links
are down, except for the patches.  And I've had to rely on some old
files.  Anyone know of any files / want to trade files?

I'm in the process of playing through one my own campaigns, Modded

i am also having trouble, the game locks up when i try to goto the
small island Zhur, it lets me get there but when i load the fight it

make sure you have downloaded all the necessary game
patches for WBC3 that should fix the problem(s)patch
1.01,patch 1.02,patch,1.03 etc.

i have just started playing wbc3 and something has me puzzled. when i
kill a enemy a strange icon or picture appears. it is golden and looks
like a face. it usually stays on the game screen for a few minutes and
then fades away.
does this icon have any significance or not?

I begin playing in polish version of warlords 4 game on level knight
so my experience is very little but here is my conclusion.

1) I think that before begining of game player shall choose which is
the most weaken enemy he will attack first in zitadell on island the
most easy is black.

2) Before engaging in fight he has to capture as many neutral towns
and castles as possible.

3) He can create three formations:

a) first formation is for siege town. It has to contain siege machine
and rest of crew. Sometime in order to get more experience it can be
used for attacking enemy formation.
b) mobile formation it has to have miniumum one rifle machine as
balista  or three archers or rifles units the rest can be infantry or
cavallery or another creatures. mobile formation can be used to
destroy enemy formations or attack neutral or enemy town and castle
which has weak defence.
c)free company (this which doesn't have heroe commander) I use them
when my mobile formation or siege formations where engage. I use them
for attack enemy formations or castle or enemy capital. For attack on
capital it can be used minimum three company. If they capture capital
it is good. The best is if their soldiers kill enemy warlord because
in this moment enemy will be weaken.

The most easy is is province zitadell on island the worst in my
opinion is this part of etheria in which are two dwarves kingdom. I
don't get succes on this scenario. The worst nations is in my opinion
demons the bests are dragons and necromants. The rest as for example
dark elves can be placed in middle.
