"I'm not some protector or anything, I'm just a kid. A kid that was
in school to be a concert violinest. This is not what I wanted, this
is not what I asked for. Please just send me home....My parents are
likely worried sick about me. I have to atleast call them or write
them or something." Blodwyn shifts where she is and looks between the
two of them, tears starting to fall down her face. "Spirits......you
mean ghosts?! What can ghosts teach me?"
Kelly shares a glance with Marissa, then frowns at Blodwyn.
"I ain't no expert on da Spirits like da Theurges are, so Marissa-
rhya will have ta explain dat part, but I know dey ain't no ghosts.
Ghosts are dead people, an' Spirits ain't dead. Everythin's got a
Spirit, even da trees an' da rocks an' da dirt. Even da walls of dis
buildin'. But as fer da otheh....If da Spirals went afta ya, den ya
parents are prob'ly already dead. Anyways, dere ain't no way ta call
anyone who ain't inside Omega. Once yer here, yer here. Ain't no
goin' back."
Kelly glances at Marissa again. "Ya think mebbe she's a Moondancer?
If she likes ta play da fiddle...."
As the three speak, Blodwyn suddenly gets the eerie feeling that
they're being watched. Someone....or something...seems to be
interested in the conversation.
