Welcome to the ship's logs for the USS Dark Matter, a Norway class Starship.

The year is 2388. It is a time of peace once more, and Federation ships are being sent out to conduct new missions throughout the far reaches of the Galaxy.

The USS Dark Matter is a science vessel based in sector 15 (Alpha Quadrant). It is operating from Starfleet's more permanent presence in the shape of Starbase Dyerma IV.

The only known planet in the vicinity is Dyerma III, whose inhabitants have recently joined as members of the Federation.

The DM's task is to explore this uncharted territory while protecting their new allies.
