If you're free next weekend (24th-25th January) and fancy something different, why not book a last minute cheap flight over to Belfast for the 3rd annual Northern Ireland Championships?
Flights are around £60 return from London using www.kayak.co.uk (highly recommended) or directly from Easyjet, BMI or Flybe. You can also fly from Edinburgh, Birmingham, Southampton and several other UK airports with ease. The tournament itself is only £25 to enter plus one night in the excellent Beechlawn Hotel.
The list of 'visitors' attending already includes myself, Jared Robinson, Mike Whiteoak, Rachelle Winer, Anand Buddhdev and several other familiar faces. Last year's event was won by Paul Gallen who will be attempting to defend his title from all of the above plus Rik Kennedy, Kevin Macmahon, Alex Balogun, Joe McGinley, Kay McColgan... etc.
The entry form can be found at http://www.absp.org.uk/calendar/northernireland2009.doc
