I'm delighted to announce that due to having met the qualification requirements, the following players are eligible to represent England at the 2009 World Scrabble Championships.  The list of qualifiers is:
 
Harshan Lamabadusuriya
Mikki Nicholson
Paul Allan
Craig Beevers
Lewis Mackay
Phil Robertshaw
Phil Appleby
Martin Harrison

Although Phil A and Martin are tied for the 7th place, the extra place available to the top English / Welsh / Scottish player not already picked, means they both qualify.

The reserves, should any of the above be unable to attend are, in order:
Bob Violett
Jared Robinson
Terry Kirk

 

There is also still a place up for grabs at this year's BMSC.

 

I hope the Scottish and Welsh Associations don't mind me mentioning that their qualifiers are Allan Simmons, Helen Gipson and Neil Scott, with Simon Gillam and Ross Mackenzie in reserve for Scotland, and for Wales, Gareth Williams with Neil Green and John Grayson in reserve.

As yet, Mattel haven't announced any further details regarding the date or venue.
