AXECON 2006 is coming to the Twin Cities November 10, 11 and 12.

Welcome to AxeCon 2006!

Battle will ring out at the Maplewood Inn in Maplewood, Minnesota.
November 10, 11 and 12

Available for gaming will be TWO Shield Lands regional module premieres
(including a 2-round mod), the Minnesota premieres of THREE Core
modules and an IUZ metaregional mod, replays of regional adventures,
and an Interactive!

SHL6-07 "Secrets of a Dead Mind" Rob Vaughn, John Twernbold and Jeff
Dobberpuhl bring you a two-round adventure followed by

SHL6-08 "Shadows of Memory" A one-round year-ender by Rob Vaughn!

SHL6-Int04 "Rain of Tears, Wings of Blood” is being written as we
speak: Simen Sharn is now old enough to sit on the Council of Lords in
an ‘advisory’ position only. A party celebrating this feat is being
held in Critwall. Will dark forces disrupt the festivities? YOU BET!

=== MODULES ===
COR6-09: Beneath the Bright Sands
By Mike Hinds. Time has buried an ancient evil. Such things are
typically left alone to be lost to history. For a millennia this was
so. Now a visitor, snatched from the distant past wants this evil
retrieved to help right a terrible wrong. A one-round Core adventure
set in the Bright Desert for character levels 1-15 (APLs 2-12). PCs
should have completed COR5-17 Time's Tide on Bright Sands before
playing this adventure. Part Nine of "Blight on Bright Sands."

COR6-11: Return to the Storm Tower
By Ronald Lundeen. Five years ago, a dwarven artisan and a cleric of
Fharlanghn were stranded on the shores of the Pomarj. These two
unfortunates have been presumed dead for years. New information has
revealed they are alive in a mysterious keep called the Storm Tower and
may be in great danger. Brave heroes are needed to venture into the
Pomarj and bring them home. A one-round core adventure for character
levels 1-15 (APLs 2 to 12).

COR6-13: Tears for Bright Sands
By Theron Martin. According to legend, Sulm defeated ancient Itar,
using dark magic to slay its patron deity and to collapse its capital
into the sea. Two thousand years later a relic of those cataclysmic
events may be critical to the future of the Bright Lands, but seeking
it will require a journey beneath the waves. A one-round core adventure
for characters level 2-15 (APLs 4-14). The penultimate part of Blight
on Bright Sands.

IUZ6-05 The Madhouse
By Britt F. Frey. The Old One is looking into something and the Shade
would like to know what. Why has an abandoned house near Admundfort
attracted Iuz’s attention? This adventure is extremely roleplay
intensive. A one-round Iuz’s Border States Metaregional adventure set
in the Shield Lands for APLs 4-12.

Shield Lands Intro Modules
By Various. There are eight Shield Lands Introductory Modules available
for 1st-level characters. If you're starting a new character or are new
to the campaign, sign up for one or more of these introductory
adventures. Typically, three Intro modules will advance your character
to 2nd-level.

Shield Lands Replays
By Various. Looking for an older Shield Lands regional adventure? No
problem! Gather five or six players and we'll provide a judge to run
you through any Year 5 or Year 6 Shield Lands module.

SHL6-06 Iuz Strikes Back
By Joshua B. Grace. A hidden village on the cusp of war finds itself in
need of heroes. The evil armies of Iuz have launched new strikes
against the Shield Lands. Some of the Greycloaks’ elite scouts have
gone missing and are presumed dead. While the Standing Army must
reinforce its defenses around Gensal, it falls to a handful of
adventurers, either exceedingly brave or foolish, to undertake a vital
intelligence-gathering mission. They must travel far beyond the
relative safety of the Shield Lands’ new borders, along a path cloaked
by the shadow of death. Will the adventurers succeed and be hailed as
heroes? Or will they find themselves trapped in battle, desperately
seeking any means of escape, and finding none? A one-round Shield Lands
adventure for battle-hardened characters unafraid to die for the
Reclamation. This adventure contains some untiered encounters and
supports characters of levels 1 to 14 (APL 2 to 12).

SHL6-07 Secrets of the Dead Mind (Two Rounds)
By Dobberpuhl, Twernbold, and Vaughn. A friend from the Nyr Dyv
delivers a strange object of great evil. Misfortune follows it like a
shadow, and enemies of the Shield Lands seek it desperately. But could
it hold information about a scourge upon the land? A two-round Shield
Lands Regional Adventure for APL 2 to 12.

SHL6-08 Shadows of Memory
By Rob Vaughn. While the Council of Lords makes a decision that will
change the Shield Lands forever, the PCs are given a simple duty to
keep them out of the way. What could be easier than training the
farmfolk and craftspeople of Southkeep to use their spears? Yet
something neither living nor dead, but somewhere between, lurks in the
darkness beneath the soil, and it does not rest easy. In this case,
shadow may provide illumination. A Shield Lands regional adventure for
APL2-12.

SHL6-i04 Rain of Tears, Wings of Blood
By Jeffery A. Dobberpuhl. Simen Sharn is now old enough to sit on the
