Braak was also relieved to hear that Martok was healing and expected to make a full recovery. He immediately passed the word on to Gartok. The Klingon Governor of Euridia Prime was Braak's adoptive father as well as the Chancellor's third cousin. The Admiral had placed Captain Logan Campbell in charge of the investigation.

====== Romulan Escape shuttle =============

"Understood, Commander.", Remar said grudgingly as he closed the channel. T'Soren wanted them in Vulcan orbit in the next 2 days. At the shuttle's best speed, it would take 3. Unfortunately, after their interaction with Achilles, the ship could only make half of that. They would have to get a  new ship, and soon. Preferably one with a cloak.

"Time to check on our distinguished guests," Remar taunted as he paced toward the rear of the shuttle, where the two federation officers were chained, still unconscious...

========= Achilles Hangar ===========

Lt. Jake Thompson and his wingmen entered the deck, all suited up and ready to go.

"So, what's the mission?", asked Tim, the small wing's #2.

"One of our long range sensor scans picked up teh shuttle we've been looking for. They're limping this way about warp 3. We're going to disable it while -",

Jake was cutoff by the sound of a platoon of Marines marching in.

"ALL RIGHT LADIES, GET IN THE BUS!", Major Harriman shouted as the men filed into the Danube Class shuttle near the starboard launchpad.

"AND YOU 3! YOU SUITED NANCYS BEST NOT GET US SHOT TO HELL BEFORE GET TO KILLIN!", he burst out with before entering the shuttle himself.

"And they will extract the prisoners while we cover them," Jake finished his brief as the three executioner class fighters they would be taking were lowered from the ceiling storage area and prepared for the mission.

======================

==/\=First Officer's Log:sd:51186.10==/\==

The Wildcard has undergone what amounts to a refit using the enhanced weapons confiscated by the away teams to Elgor Caraventes's Moonbase. FCapt.Firestorm and the other CO's that are apart of the  5th Thunder Fleet have began their mission briefing. FCapt. Firestorm will fill me in once the briefing has been concluded.  Everyone already knows that we will be heading to the Delta Quadrant to put a stop to the deadly plans being  put forth by the Sheldon Minors.

We also know that we will be entering the Delta Quadrant dangerously close to Borg space. The Borg and the Minors have a love hate relationship. Meaning they love to hate each other. Of cours this could be to our advantage but then again the Borg could help us in our fight with the Minors and then turn on us at the drop of a hat. I'm sure that FCapt.Firestorm will be prepared for this possible outcome.

My main concern is that we will use the wormhole to travel to the Delta Quadrant and the Minors might collapse the wornhole and we end up trapped and spend the next 65 years trying to get back home. Of course the USS Adventure is equipped with transwarp drive and get make the trip back to the Alpha Quadrant in five weeks or longer if they have to tug a fleet of ships back home...(who am I kidding,we'll probably get our asses handed to us over there),Prescott thought.

The FCaptain has already told me that once the meeting is over with we will be heading through the wormhole to join the USS Voyager-B and then proceed to the Delta Quadrant. I just pray this doesn't turn into another Wolf 359.....

Braak sat at his desk and reviewed the data that his Yeoman had left for him. He signed off on the transport shuttle that would carry the two badly burned Marines to the Vega Colony. He knew the two men that had been wounded and counted them among his friends.

The Admiral sent letters to their families and told them that they would be allowed to visit the facility within a weeks time. The "paperwork" would have to catch up with the Marines before they would be allowed to visit. Such things could not be avoided even in this century.

Braak also had a feeling that T'S oren was involved in this somehow. There was nothing he could put his finger on specifically. However his "gut" told him that the Terrorist was nearby.

He placed the Griffon on constant alert and suggested to the Klingon vessels in orbit that they should do the same.

<T'Soren?>

Braak was scheduled to visit  what the Vulcan's were calling ground zero later that afternoon. He hoped that there wouldn't be anymore mayhem.......

"I have released several of the Bolian patinets to quarters aboard the Griffon. They're care will now be handled on an outpatient basis. The three remaining patients are two Marines and Chancellor Martok.

The Marines suffered plazma burns and will later be transported to the Vega Colony where the Federation has a Marine Hospital. There they will recieve the nessasary care they will need which will take approximately three months.

The Chancellor is healing at the rate expected. The new lungs that he recieved yesterday will take another two days to graph into his tissue. The damage to his heart was repaired  and he should have no lasting affects.

I will be releasing him from recovery tomorrow and place him in a private room. This will come as a relief to my staff who are unnerved by the contingent of Klingon guards that are standing around Medical and basically getting in the way.

I expect the Chancellor to reach full recovery status in about a week...

Jason had placed the readout that Ella had sent him min the upper right hand corner of one of his screens. The "ghost" stayed with them the entire time changing position but always there.

"Captain,I;m reading the Xindi ship on long range sensors",Barnes said.

<Yocum,orders?>

"Aye Sir,sending message.",Barnes said.

A few moments later the Xinid aquatic sent word that they would lead the Shadowcat through their space. Barnes knew that if they were heading through sensitive areas their "ghost" would have access to it as well.

"We're going to have to lose our tag first Captain",Barnes said to his CO.

<>

"Aye Sir",replied Almand.

Angela typed in multiple headings into the ships navigational computer.

"Ready when you are Jason",Almand said.

Jason reprogrammed the drones they had launched and altered their holographic emiters. When the drones were activated the "Ghost" would get a really big surprise.

"Ready Captain",Barnes said.

<Yocum?>

Barnes typed in the access code as Almand brought the Shadowcat to a halt. All six of the drones came alongside the  Shadowcat and Jason knodded towards tactical. Four phton torpedoes were launched minimal yield.

When the torpedoes were activated the resulting explosion caused the sensors of the ghost ship to become disabled. If they were watching on their viewscreen the glare would be blinding to them as well.

"Now Angela",Jason said and the Shadowcat's engines came on line and the ship jumped to warp three. Of course the ghost ship saw the Cat jump to warp but what they had not expected  was to see 7 USS Shadowcat's on their screen. All seven vessels had a warp signature and it would be a toss up as to which one they would follow.

/Kilwrathie Ship/

"SIRE , we have a problem",the helmsman reported.

The Commander exited his ready room and entered the bridge of the Voslov in time to see seven starships go to warp.

Merric was speechless and then regained himself and ordered a pursuit course.

When the helmsman asked which vessel to follow Merric looked towards his tactical officer for a clue. The barrel headed man had a blank look on his face and Merric released a violent wolf like howl......

"They're not following us Captain.! It worked",Barnes said.

<Yocum?>

"Yes Sir Captain",replied Almand.
Angela typed in the coordinates and the Shadowcat's heading was altered to rendevous with the Aquatics..

Sarah had opened Martok up ten minutes after the Klingon had arrived on the Griffon. His injuries were quite serious infact had he not arrived when he had the Chancellor would have surely died on the surface.

"The fourth and fifth ribs have puntured his left  lungs both upper and lower",Mayberry said.

It was times like this that the Klingon anatomy's redundant organs became a problem.

"His lower intestines are torn as well Doctor",the EMH reported.

"I saw that earlier,I'll repair his lung damage and you can take care of his intestines",Mayberry told the holo-Doctor.

 While they worked feverishly on Martok,the Medical Bays other EMH's worked on the Boilans and Klingon injured elsewhere in the structure.

Martok's surgery took close to four hours and by the time he was in Recovery nearly all of the other patinets had been seen and either released or placed in the hospital ward.

=/\=Medical to the bridge. Chancellor Martok is in recovery and should survive barring any complications. As for the other patients beamed aboard twelve will remain on the Griffon for at least three days. The others have either been beamed back aboard their ships or have returned to the planet. Since the Bolians craft left orbit two days ago might I reccommend that they remain aboard the Griffon=/\=,Mayberry reported.

=/\=Wolfdreamer  here Doctor,we'll make accomodations for the Bolians and please have updates on the Chancellor's condition sent to the Admiral when warranted=/\=,Wolf said.

========= Vulcan ========

Logan's team beamed down, and within 5 minutes all four relays were setup. It would take another 5 for them to sync with Achilles.

"Lieutenant Lo'Vos? I heard one of the people tapped down here was Chancellor Martok?"

"Thanks correct sir, he was over by the main stage secnds before the explosion" reported Lo'Vos

" I have teams surrounding the Area with Transporter relays. We should be able to get them out with Achilles' Transporters that way."

"Ok if you dont mind I have to check on my team mate she was keeping look out from the balcony" requested Lo'Vos as he pointed to the balcony where most of the rubble had come from, as he ran over to the pile of rubble seconds later logan was standing next to him

Logan turned back to Blank. "Once everything is set, have them beamed directly to the Griffon. They're ve been trating the Klingon casualties, and have a larger medical facility than my ship. I'm going to report to Braak now, and see what else we can do. Can you take it from here?"

"Yes Sir dont worry if theres any one left in this mess I will find them" shouted Lo'Vos not even stopping to look at the captain as he carried on digging though the rubble with his bare hands.

Logan nodded and grinned. "Thanks. Let me know if you guys need anything else. My ship is at your disposal Lt."

"....." Lo'vos didnt reply and carried on digging looking for Kam and any other survivors

"KAM" shouted Lo'Vos tearing at the rubble like a man gone insane, Suddenly Lo'Vos could hear a rather loud cursing coming from amonst the rubble.

"This stupid ..... if i get my hands.... this shi.....so bloo....much of it" cursed Kam from under the rubble. Lo'vos listened carefully trying to figure out where it was comming from but before he could the fist come popping out from under a rubble he knew in seconds its was Kams hand, he rushed over and started moving the rubble off her. a few seconds later Kam was completely dug out. "You ok?" asked Lo'Vos.

"I'm fine little dust couldnt stop me" replied Kam as she begun to dust her self off. As she did Lo'Vos saw she was bleeding from the left shoulder. "Kam your bleeding"

"For God sake my best uniform your fathers gonna kill me" moaned Kam placing herhand over the wound. "Get to the Achilles's and get that looked at" ordered Lo'Vos. "I will not you need me down here" snapped Kam graoning as she stood up and begun moving rubble with her good arm. "I dont care Kam go now" shouted Lo'Vos. "No Lo your not my ranking officer now I will get it looked at the second we are done down here" Snapped Kam. "Fine but if your father complains to me at the next famly function your gonna have to tell him about it. Do me a favour go and see if you can find who ever did this "Replied Lo'Vos

"I hope its all completed as per my orders" asked Lo'Vos "Yes sir"replied the most senior of the work crew "Right all of you out I will finish the rest off" shouted Lo'Vos, as the work crews scurryed out Lo'Vos turned to face the centre of the room and tapped his com-badge "Kam when your ready" seconds later a blue shimmer started to form in the middle of the room and then fadded out "DAMN that hurt" came a voice from out side

Lo'vos walked to the door and opened it "haha Kam I see transporting in is usless then" laughted Lo'Vos
"Yeah you could say that" replied a short human female in marine clothing sitting on the floor. Lo'Vos turned and gave her a hug, "well thanks for that at least i know they cant do a suprise beam in", reported Lo'Vos getting his triquater out and scanning the room again

"So tell me does that make us evern?" Asked Kam

"Not quite i still have to get you back for the time you made me test out your Snaptic gas i still go off kilter it i go any where near power relay" snarrled Lo'vos

"Well next time your look out for trip wires" smiled Kam in return placing a hand on his shoulder. Now Kam I want you to take position on the high balcony I will cover the exits" ordered Lo'Vos "Oh and Kam try not to get your self injured

==Hall of Elders==

Braak sat at the table reserved for heads of state. The Vulcans had prepared a show of Vulcan classical music.  It was to be followed by a Klingon Opera entitiled "Korloff and Ametira"<lossely translated,Romeo and Juliet.

The Bajoran could hardly wait to see the look on the faces of the Vulcans in attendance. Braak had noticed that Senator S'Havraha had arrived just in time for the festivities. He hadn't been able to speak with him yet but there was still time before the big signing.  For his part Braak constantly scanned the room with his eyes. It must have been the memories of his first duty station as Chief of Security aboard the USS Hunter.

"Any thing on your end?",Braak whispered into his wrist comm link.

"ll clear on this end brother",came the reply from Wolf.

"How about you Lieutenant?",Braak asked of Blank.

"Every thing is good Sir there are a few prostestors out side the main door and i have a little suprise for them should they try to interfere with any thing" reported Lov'oz walking around amongst the crowd

This surprised Braak,he hadn't heard anything about there being Protesters at this event. Still  there were always certain groups that tried to disrupt events like these to further their own political agendas.....

The applause from the Klingon's snapped Braak back to reality. He wasn't sure the applause was because they enjoyed the Vulcan Opera or they were just glad that it was over so that their's could begin.

There was a brief intermission and Braak took the oppurtunity to approach SenatS'Havraha's Chief of Security/ It struck Braak how much Valm'et reminded him of Tamalok. Who nows maybe he was a relation,mused Braak.

"Lt.Valm'et,I trust that you were alerted to the possible terrorist threat that could occur today?",asked Braak.

Achilles dropped from slipstream and Warp about 20 minutes after going in. A few conduits were fried, but she held together nicely, and marked another one for the record books.

"Approaching the planet Captain," came the announcement from the helm.

"On screen", and establish high orbit", Logan replied.

The view of Vulcan coalesced on the main viewer. It had been years since Logan had seen is ancestral home, of sorts.

Almost immediately after, the comms chimed.

Braak listened and knew that Logan was hearing this also on the Achilles. Once Blank finished his report Braak told him that he was sending him some help. Closing the link he then asked Campbell if he heard everything.

"I heard Admiral. We'll do everything we can."

"Have your people coordinate with Lt.Blank on the ground. I'm sending a team of Engineers down as well. I want you to oversee their assignment Logan. Chancellor Martok is down there in that rubble and I want him found as soon as possible",ordered Braak.

"Will do. Achilles out."

Sarah contacted the surface and was routed to Captain Campbell.

=/\= Captain,whatever wounded you find that are klingon please beam them here to the Griffon or to the Kemulth the Klingon Cruiser in orbit. The Klingons have become distrustful of the Vulcans and will only allow their people or ours to treat them.=/\=

"We actually have a number of wounded. One of them is Klingon, and he was disguised as a Romulan. We also have a Romulan that will need the attention of Cmdr. Wolfdreamer. We'll beam them over immediately."

"Yes Sir we'll be ready for them",replied Dr.Mayberry.

Sarah closed the link and instructed her people and the three EMH's and their holographic staff to be ready for incoming wounded..... .

Logan opened a channel to sickbay, and ordered them to beam over the wounded to the Griffon, and tagged the Romulan prisoner so that they would know who to send to the immortal.

"Captain?", the science officer spoke up. "I'm detecting some life forms trapped under rubble on the surface. One Klingon, and two Vulcan."

Logan shot up out of his chair and looked over the officers shoulder. "Can we transport?"

The officer shook his head. "No, but if we can put some relays down around the area, we can."

"Give us ten minutes," Logan replied, tapping his commbadge as he made for the turbolift.

=/\= Security Detail Alpha, and Engineering Team Theta, meet me in transporter room 2. Captain to Doctor: you have command until I get back. Campbell Out. =/\=

<tag Xia>

Logan met with the teams in the transporter room, and detailed his plan. They would split into four groups, and beam down at four points outside the collapsed building, and plant their transporter relays.

========= Vulcan ========

Logan's team beamed down, and within 5 minutes all four relays were setup. It would take another 5 for them to sync with Achilles.

"Lieutenant Blank? I heard one of teh people tapped down here was Chancellor Martok?"

<Blank>

" I have teams surrounding the Area with Transporter relays. We should be able to get them out with Achilles' Transporters that way."

<Blank>

The Chancellor's thoughts began to drift towards his wife and children. They had worried about him coming to Vulcan but he had assured them that nothing would happen. His wife Klanura would feel vindicated by this but she would also be worried for him. He knew that once he got out of this she would scold him privately.

He laughed hen he thought of this and winced from the pain in his chest.

"This isn't good",he mused as he spat out even more blood onto his tunic.

"HELP,CAN ANYONE HEAR ME"he shouted and was racked with an even harder cough.

This time the pain didn't go away  and he had difficulty breathing.

Logan walked to the pile, shouting at the survivors.

Hang on everyone, we'll have you out of there in a few minutes! Just hang on!!"

Martok could hear the voices getting closer.  Martok didn't know if he could hold out much longer...

Logan turned back to Blank. "Once everything is set, have them beamed directly to the Griffon. They're ve been trating the Klingon casualties, and have a larger medical facility than my ship. I'm going to report to Braak now, and see what else we can do. Can you take it from here?"

<Blank>

Logan nodded and grinned. "Thanks. Let me know if you guys need anything else. My ship is at your disposal Lt."

<Blank>

Logan tapped his commbadge. =/\=Achilles. Beam me directly to Braak's position. =/\=

Logan was surprised to find himself on the Griffon bridge.

<anyone?>

"Lt. Blank is overseeing. We setup some transporter relays around the rubble, and are having everyone beamed over here. We picked up 3 lifesigns: one Klingon, 2 Vulcan. You should also be recieving our wounded, and Wolf', one them will be a 'guest' of yours, I beleive."

Sarah had been bored the last few days. The Vulcan assignement always had the potential of blowing up in their faces but she had not thought that it would actually happen. The first alarm klaxons began to sound just after lunch and chaos insued soon after.

Things were still hectic three hours later. Several Marines had been wounded in the explosion of the Klingon and Bolian Embassies. They were also taking in Klingo and Bolian wounded as well. Sarah had opened five triage stations both on the Griffon and on Vulcan.

The Vulcan Medical Association had requested help in dealing with the wounded and Admiral Braak had agreed to give it.  Some of the Klingons had objected to the Vulcans taking care of their wounded. Mayberry had not liked the sound of this and niether had the Admiral.

Admiral Braak had told her that they would be walking a fine line for the forceable future. The explosion had brought out the small group of Klingons that did not approve of the treaty being signed between the two races. Sarah didn't like the sound of this tensions had n't been this strained since the Klingon's Civil War several years ago.

Sarah hoped that nothing like that happened between the Klingons and the Vulcans. If it did Earth would have to choose sides and she had a feeling that Fleet would side with the Vulcans.

Sarah contacted the surface and was routed to Captain Campbell.

Val'et!! Whats going on?" shouted a voice on her right and Senator S'Havraha arrived. Removing her smile and repositioning her face to that of the Romulan Security Chief, she said, "Sorry Senator, you should not be here. Someone has blown up the Klingons and the Bolians. Security will be tight whilst they look for survivors. Please go back to your quarters."

S'Havraha had been disturbed by the events taking place and wondered if what Braak had said were true.He left telling Val'met to contact him once anything was found out about the explosion.

T'Soren watched the Senator leave and scowled, ~Traitor.~ she thought. Maybe she should blow him up whilst she was here.

She went looking for the other agents quarters and after locating it, she learned who he was contacting and she smiled and almost purred. This was better then everything put together. She rubbed her hands and then opened up a channel to T'Mari's quarters, with no vid so that T'Mari would not know who had breached her own security and when the vid opened, she said in the gravelly voice of the male's body she was inhabiting,

 "For shame Ambassador, did you think that your little plan would be going to work as you wished? I am not one of your loyal little minions, and I play for keeps. You better understand that now. If you deviate from the original plans again, I have been instructed to remove you permanently and spread your atoms far and wide. And Ambassador I will make it very painful. Then we will do the same to your clan. No more mistakes please, it will be very unhealthy for you."  T'Soren cut the vid off.

T'Mari was unnerved but it didn't show, She wondered how T'Soren and she knew it had to be T'Soren who had just contacted her.

"How did she know to contact me?",she whispered to herself.

If T'Soren were contacting him then what happened to his agent. An uneasy "feeling" settled over the Priestess as she began to wonder if T'Soren might somehow inform Admiral Braak that she was behind the bombing on Hath and here on Vulcan.

Things were getting out of control none of this had been expected and T'Mari racked her brain trying to think of a logical solution to the problem.

It became immediately obvious that there was nothing logical about what she was doing.

"Chaos",she muttered,"utter chaos"......

Val'et exited the "retired" bombers quarters after making sure nothing remained of her entrance and then went to join the Romulan Delegation. It just would not do if their security chief wasn't there to protect them. She smiled silkily.

T'Soren smiled at the amount of damage inflicted at both the Bolion and Klingon delegation areas. Taking the body of Senator S'Havraha's Chief of Security had been a worthy move and she had laughed plenty when Starfleet security had given her the lowdown on the whereabouts of the next meeting. Finding the one who had the Tritanium alloy explosives had been a very fortuitous start and watching where the explosives had been placed around the Romulan and Vulcan delegation quarters, even better. She carefully documented all the small explosives, which would cause damage but nothing life threatening and she waited til the one who had set them all up was busy setting up a few others of insignificance, and then removed them and planted them all around the Klingon section and just because she didn't like the Bolians much, put the rest around there. Then she collected the other explosive devices and carefully and unobtrusively met up with the other agent and placed them on his person without his knowledge. The new agent had stopped the Security Chief and laughingly asked for directions and of course T'Soren had obliged.

With explosive results.

The new agent had pressed the trigger and blown himself into tiny pieces along with the Klingons and Bolians. Standing in the shadows T'Soren nodded in satisfaction and then walked quickly away.

There were new plans to be hatched.

"Val'et!! Whats going on?" shouted a voice on her right and Senator S'Havraha arrived. Martok stood inside his quarters and handed Braak a mug of bloodwine. The two men made a toast regarding the impending treaty signing.

"You know Braak I never thought that such a thing would be possible".

"You refering to the exlusionists aren't you"?asked Braak.

"Indeed,now there is something else that I thought I'd never see. A bigoted Vulcan"Martok said before he took a swig of the wine.

Braak agreed but told him that this wasn't the first time that  Vulcans were opposed to coexisting with other cultures. When Vulcan had made first contact two hundred and  ten years ago there had been Vulcans that had been violently against existing with humans.

"I recall hearing about that as a child but I thought that they had gotten past all of that",Martok told him.

"Well lets hope that the treaty signing tonight puts an end to it",Braak told him swallowing the last of his bloodwine.

"Speaking of tonight,have you heard from the Captain of the Achilles yet?"asked Martok.

Braak told Martok about his communication with Campbell earlier and said that the Achilles should be arriving any minute.

"I better get back up to the Griffon,to meet him",Braak said looking at his watch.

The Admiral tapped his comm badge and called for beam up.

As the transporter effect began to swirl around Braak's body he watched in horror as the room around him erupted in flames and flying debris. Martok was thrown to the floor and Braak screamed,"Noooooooo!"

==USS Griffon:transporter room==

Braak materilaized on the platform and immediatly slapped his comm badge.

"Wolf!, scan the surface. hen I beamed up I saw Chancellor Martok's Chambers explode".

There was silence for a moment and Wolfdreamer reported that both the Klingon and Bolian Embassies had been hit by some type of explosion.

"I've got Vulcan Security on the comm and they are devastated",explained Wolfdreamer.

"Contact Lt. Blank and get a situation report,I'm on my way to the bridge",Braak said exiting the transporter room.

<Lt.Blank,tag>

Braak stepped off the lift in time to see the Achilles drop out of warp. Braak told the OPS Officer to contact Captain Campbell and update him on the situation.

"I've got Blank",reported Wolf.

The viewscreen shimmered and the rattled Lieutenant in charge of Security appeared on the screen.

"What's your situation Lieutenant"?Braak asked.

<Blank/Lee>

Braak listened and knew that Logan was hearing this also on the Achilles. Once Blank finished his report Braak told him that he was sending him some help. Closing the link he then asked Campbell if he heard everything.

<Logan?>

"Have your people coordinate with Lt.Blank on the ground. I'm sending a team of Engineers down as well. I want you to oversee their assignment Logan. Chancellor Martok is down there in that rubble and I want him found as soon as possible",ordered Braak.

Martok tried to lift his head and couldn't. There was a mountain of debris on top of him but even with that obstacle he managed to wiggle his fingers and toes.

"No real damaged? At least I don't think so",he thought.

He was unable to reach his communicator so he was forced to remain where he was. Martok tried to yell for help and that is when he felt the sharp pain inside his ribcage. He coughed and spat purple blood onto the rubble in front of him.

"Not good",he thought.

He knew that Braak had seen the explosion has he was being beamed away. He hoped his friend had managed to beam away successfully. If he had then help was on the way if not then Martok was ready for Stovokore.

All he could do was wait and hope that someone was coming......

T'Mari,Vulcan Priestess.
planet Vulcan.
====================

T'Mari sat cross legged in the Vulcan Temple in deep meditation. It had become more of a struggle these days to center herself and concentrate. Nothing had gone the way it had been planned.  The Vulcan Priestess had chosen an assasin to blow up the Embassy on T'Plana-Hath but things had gone terribly wrong.

For starters the person she had hired had assured her that no one would be harmed just a few "busted windows",the young woman had said. However that was not the way things had gone. An agent named T'Soren had interfered and the damage had been great. The loss of life had been in the double digits. Several children had been among the casualties.

T'Mari's temples began to twitch as she fought to regain her control. She wanted to strangle T'Soren with her bare hands something that went against everything she had been taught. Once her meditation period was complete she found that she was even more tense than before.

"Ahem",Ovik cleared his throat.

"Yes Lieutenant,what can I do for you?"asked T'Mari as she rose to her feet.

"There is an important communique for you on subspace Priestess",the young Vulcan Stafleet Officer said .

"Thank you, I will take it in my chambers",T;Mari replied.

Safely secured inside her chambers,T'Mari activated the encoded link.

"I trust that you have good news?",she said.

"Yes Priestess,the charges have been set all that remains is for you to give the order",the distorted voice explained.

"Begin",T'Mari replied her voice a hushed whisper.

The link was severed on the other end and a bold new plan was set into motion. Several seconds later an enormous explosion could be heard in the distance and the building which T'Mari was located shook violently.

Alarm bells sounded and whimpering could be heard everywhere.

T'Mari stepped out onto her balcony and saw that the structures where the Klingon Delegation and the Bolian Delegation were being housed was in rubble...

Vulcan Security contacted the Priestess to ensure that she was safe.

"Iam well",she replied,"Make sure that the injured get treatment as soon as possible.  Notify Admiral Braak as to what has happened. I believe that he in aboard the USS Griffon",T'Mari stated.

There was silence on the other end of the link.

"What is it ?",T'Mari asked the concern showing in her voice.

"Admiral Braak and Chancellor Martok were inside the structure when the explosion occured",the young Vulcan male reported.

"T'Mari was speechless,she had spoken with Admiral Braak earlier and he had said that he was returning to his ship. The Priestess asked if the information about the Admiral's whereabouts had been confirmed.

"They have Priestess, I checked myself. Both the Admiral and the Chancellor were inside the building when it exploded. We have teams sifting through the debris now but there was considerable damage",

"Keep me posted"was all that T'Mari could say.

The link closed and T'Mari sat heavily in a nearby chair. This wasn't the way it was supposed to be. Braak was a friend,he was not supposed to die or be injured. The Preistess knew well enough not to try and contact her new agent because all transmissions would now be scrutinized

All that could be done was for her to wait and see what happened next....

The computer chimed, and moments later the screen adjacent to his desk, arranged at eye level, changed from a small painting of a scooner to the Admiral's visage.

Braak took a seat at his desk in his office onboard the USS Griffon and aswered the communique from Capt.Campbell.

"What can I do for you Logan?",asked Braak.

"Admiral, it looks like the Romulans we encountered may be linked to the summit. We managed to capture one of them, but a ship containing 2 of my officers sped off without leaving much of an ion trail. What raised my suspicions is that the ships we encounted bear the Mark of Lura T'Ael's house on Romulus. Weren't they political affluents?"

Braak listened intently and was deeply concerned about Lura.

"You are correct Captain.Lura's parents are high up in the Romulan political scene. We need to get your people back and I believe that they are possibly heading here to Vulcan.It might be a good idea for you to join your fighter squadron here on Vulcan",suggested the Admiral.

"Understood. I was about to set course for your location. Lura was the only good interrogator we had, and I believe either Wolf or Firestorm would be able to extract the needed information. "

"I'll alert Wolf and he'll be ready for you and so will I",replied Braak.

"Will do sir. We'll be there in twenty minutes. Campbell Out."

Braak closed the link and was relieved that he would have some more backup with this assignment...

Logan then headed for the Bridge.

Upon entering, he put his bridge crew to work.

"Tactical, go full yellow alert; standby weapons and ready shields. Science, I want long range sensor sweeps starting now. If there's a chance of us getting an ion trail off the Romulan ship, I don't want to miss it."

Finally, after taking his seat, Logan turned his attention to the Helm.

"Sun, bring us out of orbit. Make your course for Vulan. Prepare for Slipstream Travel."

Within a few short moments, the Achilles sped off at maximum warp, then entered the slipstream, cutting the travel time to Vulcan from days to minutes...

LtCol.Matt Prescott,
XO USS Wildcard.
Section 31 Operative
======================

==/\=First Officer's Log:sd:51186.10==/\==

==Aldea, DiNay's and Akoval's (undercover as Fayol) first encounter. Months before their assignment to the Wild Card.==

Cayden was suspicious. She knew that the role Director Murphy has laid out to her was not the real plan. There was an underlying agenda to which DiNay realized she was not privy. She knew this because that is how SHE would have devised the mission, and she guessed that Murphy was at least as good an infiltrator as Cayden herself.

She followed the other two agents to the south side of the Compound, which covered at least 40 acres of property. It was surrounded with force fields and sensor systems, not only to warn of intruders, but to supervise, survey and control the training of Militia troops. She knew the Compound well, as she had trained and worked from this location for more than eight Aldean years.

If she were discovered leading this group of infiltrators INTO the Compound, she would be executed, after extensive debriefing. She had a twinkle of an idea how to avoid that scenario, but she kept that to herself.

The land to the southern and south-western perimeter of the Compound was rugged. Dry, deep, course sand, impossible to run through, and fields of jagged rocky foothills had provided more than one challenging field exercise for the students of Gor Zikmit, known to the humans as Red Sigma. She had ‘died’ numerous times on this field, the victim of a training level energy shot used to ‘alert’ trainees to the fact that they would be dead in a real battle.

She had bled plenty of real blood out here too, since the energy shots did break through uniforms and skin. Gor Zikmit had excellent medical skills that healed one of such mishaps within hours, but indeed, her blood was sprinkled over these sands and boulders.

She did not like being the leader of these humans. She preferred them ahead of her, where she could see them, but such was not her lot in this ‘exercise.’

Akoval – or Fayol as he now called himself – had spent several months on Aldea and reached the rank of Brevet-Tankor after their former O/C mysteriously disappeared thanks to an SDA intervention.

He had never been to this complex before, but his rank allowed him to walk into quite a few restricted areas on the planet.

They reached the end of another corridor and spotted two guards. Instead of asking Cayden for another way or opening fire on them, Misato grabbed Cayden's wrists with one hand and put the other hand over her mouth at the same time. She whispered to her to be silent before releasing her mouth and slowly walking towards the guards.

Akoval approached them first and presented his ID. “I need to speak to the commandant.”

Cayden nodded in agreement with Misato’s orders and they moved toward the guards. Both straightened with surprise when they recognized Siktor Cayden DiNay.

Akoval approached them first and presented his ID. “I need to speak to the commandant.”

“Yes Sir,” replied the taller of the guards, who keyed his comm unit on his ear for permission to lead them to the Commandant’s office. “For the Commandant. I have Tankor Fayol and another soldier here. They have Siktor Cayden in their custody. The Tankor requests conduct to the Commandant’s office.”

“Come ahead,” was the reply.

“Follow me,” he said to Fayol and led the trio down the corridor. Two other guards had arrived at the entry, and they fell in behind the visitors.

Cayden was not sure of her standing with Red Sigma, at this point. Misato had inferred that she was a wanted criminal and the current scene they were playing out seemed to support that possibility. But it could be another of Misato’s, or SDA tricks. For while the SDA had seemed to understand her situation as a brainwashed victim of Red Sigma, they were themselves a cunning organization not above bending the rules to suit their goals.

“Najor, you know me, I am not a traitor,” Cayden said quickly.

Misato pushed her to the ground and put a boot in her neck. “Shut up!”

Akoval did not react and instead addressed the Najor. “Sir, Tankor Fayol. I have with me the traitor Cayden DiNay. She was captured by one of my company's NCOs during transfer from holiday.” He turned towards Misato and back. “With your permission, I will promote her to Tamsik for her bravery.”

“Mmmm,” grunted the CO, “It takes bravery, does it, to secure Prisoner Cayden?” He walked around the desk and looked down at the child-sized woman gasping for breath beneath the sole of the red haired woman’s boot. “Perhaps.” He kicked Cayden in the round of her hip. Not has solidly as he was capable, but effectively assuring her of his disgust. “Tell me, DiNay, does this woman deserve a promotion for dragging your traitorous little ass into my office?

“I am not a traitor,” she replied. The triggers of pain and anger redirected all her energy toward focus, toward sensitivity, and she became hyper vigilant and aware. She had been trained very well.

“These people are false. They have rigged everything, including this apparent arrest,” she insisted.

The Najor now focussed on Misato. “Where did you capture her, Tamsik...?”

“Macid, sir.”, Misato took the foot off Cayden's neck to address the Najor with the proper respect. “I found her on a Federation shuttle on a course to Aldea. On my way back from holiday, I picked up an unusual signature and went to investigate. It turned out to be hers.”

“We have secured the shuttle at our compound. It is guarded by my men.”, Akoval actually referred to the shuttle Jandre and Cayden had come to Aldea on and that was about to explode, taking mentioned compound with it in few hours. “It appears that she has been working for the UFP all along, how else would she have had access to such a vessel.”

“So she is now a Federation pilot, too. My, climbing the ladder of importance,” the Najor growled at Cayden, who adjusted her position on the floor in preparation to stand. She was welcomed with the hard backhanded slice of the Najor’s hand and flung backward a full 2 meters. But she wasted no time in jumping to her feet, out of reach of both Misato and the Najor. Cowering on the floor was not part of her training. The two guards stood ready at the door, but made no move to restrain her.

“I was a prisoner on that shuttle. My failure was to be captured on the Destiny, not to defect from my duty to Gor Zikmit. I am guilty of capture, but no traitor.” She fairly spat the words at Misato’s feet.

“You Siktor will shut up unless I speak to you.” The Najor pulled a pistol from his hip and shot DiNay in the centre chest. She collapsed. He turned to Tankor Fayol, “How did you get the Federation shuttle here without clearance?”

“I took all necessary security precautions before clearing the shuttle to land. The ingenious part is how the shuttle was landed. Tankor... I am sorry. Tamsik Macid.”, Akoval stressed the rank as if he was used to calling her a different Aldean rank. “Would you please explain...”

DiNay’s head spun as she tried to breath, the world swelling in and out of a white haze. The he stun blast had completely knocked wind out of her and she erupted into a fit a coughing when she finally forced air into her lungs. The shot had torn through her jacket and left an angry red welt above her right breast, little rivulets of blood drizzled from dozens of burst capillaries. She forced herself to listen with audio memory what was being said, in hopes she could piece together the conversation in retrospect.

Misato blushed “Of course.”, she turned to the senior officer in the room again. “Federation shuttles apparently do not require authorisation codes as Intelligence often proposes. Her shuttle was easy to commandeer...”, she looked at Cayden. “Maybe too easy...”, Misato stood in thought for a moment and then turned back to the Najor in surprise: “Sir, are you implying she wanted to be captured?”

The Najor smiled, “Well, if that were the case, you certainly don’t deserve a promotion for your bravery in capturing her, do you Tankor?”

“You trick ...” Cayden could not finish speaking, and fell to coughing again. She could taste blood in her throat.

"Did I not say you should shut up?" said the Najor, and delivered another shot to her right shoulder. It slammed her over onto her side and he drove another round into the back of the shoulder. She lost consciousness.

She came to as someone grabbed her by the upper right arm of her pulled her to her feet. She yelped and fought valiantly to escape the excruciating grasp and when she realized she was standing on her own power, she found the strength to slam a snap kick to the thigh of whoever was hold her. The hand let go and she spun out of reach, only to fall into a wall, but at least it did not hold onto her. She shook her head and saw the Najor on his knees, blood flowing unchecked down his chin, a glassy, unseeing gaze focused already in the afterlife.

She looked for the door and saw one guard leaning against the frame, holding his ribs with both hands. The other was no where in sight.

“Secure her.”, Akoval ordered Misato as the Najor collapsed on the floor.

Misato pulled her weapon, looked at Cayden and aimed for her. Cayden stared at the woman. She would not let the woman kill her without watching her eyes. After three seconds, Misato shifted, fired a single shot, and the remaining guard dropped dead on the floor. She went to check if the Najor was really dead.

Akoval walked over to Cayden and kicked her in the hollow of her knee to force her down on her knees. She cried out and slammed her elbow back into the flesh on the side of his thigh. It was perhaps a bit painful, and no where near deep enough to disable him. But she made her point of fighting to the bitter end. He pulled his weapon and placed the muzzle on her neck, but Misato objected: “wait, she might be of further use. We will just have to keep a closer eye on her.”

He holstered the weapon again, but tied up Cayden's hands. “They will probably be back with reinforcements.”, he said.

“Why?” snapped Cayden, “We are all dead now.”

Misato walked over to them. “Stand up!”, she ordered Cayden, before the alerts of the base went off.

“Fayol, turn that off!”, Misato shouted at Akoval, who ran to the next console. It took a moment before he replied: “That is not about us. The base is under attack.”

Cayden’s attention was riveted to Fayol’s face. “Who?”

Akoval was slightly confused, when Cayden suddenly looked at him. “Who what?”, he continued to push buttons. “Feedorans I suppose, who else. If that is what you wanted to ask. Defences have been activated. A few more soldiers running around randomly will not be noticed for some time, but we have to leave before they come and check on us.”

DiNay sorted through her mind. Would the Feedorans attack? Particularly the Compound itself. They couldn’t without help, big help. She weighed her options. Stay and let Fayol kill her, run with them and be killed at the hands of the Feedorans? Break free of these two spies and throw herself on the mercy of the Feedorans? That all assumed it was the Feedorans. More likely the Confederacy would attack the Compound, knowing it was the training base of the Resistance Militia. But of all the options, the one she chose was to be proactive. To take her life into her own hands and live or die making decisions for herself.

She knew this facility intimately. She clamoured to her feet and sprinted out the door and to the right.

Akoval followed her, so did Misato. “Stop her!”, Akoval shouted and one of the Aldeans caught her as she wanted to pass them.

Cayden gasped with pain as the woman caught her arm and spun her around. She chattered rapidly in native Aldean, hoping her authoritative tone and perhaps the recognition of her as a long time comrade would buy her passage. “The base is under attack. I’m going to secure the computer core, immediately. They are with me,” she added swiftly, indicating Misato and Fayol. It worked. The confused militiamen turned and raced down another hallway, one already on his comm relaying procedures to lock down the computer. The little Aldean woman ground her teeth against the pain in her shoulder, trying to avoid breaking into a fit of coughing, but pressing forward without a glance behind her at the two SDA agents.

“You should have let me shoot her.”, Akoval said to Misato. He stopped next to the guard who had let her go. “You just let a traitor escape. Consider yourself lucky I do not have the time to deal with you.”

The hallway led to a cargo lift that would take her to the third level beneath the building. That level housed an auxiliary sensor system, a garage for a variety of small personal vehicles, and the tertiary access to the computer, where she could determine what was happening and issue isolated, command level directions to both communications and weapons. With any luck, she could secure a hovercraft and escape the bombardment through the underground matrix of tunnels into the hills beyond.

They had lost her for a moment, but now she was only metres ahead of them. With one final leap, Misato brought her to the ground. “I should have known better than to trust you. Now take us to that computer core or I will shoot you on the spot.”

The coughing erupted again as Misato’s weight crushed her to the corridor floor. Searing agony wrapped her shoulders and constricted her into a foetal ball. “I am going,” she croaked almost unintelligibly. Her breathing came in shallow shudders, punctuated by quick moans on the exhale. “Level 4 down.”

The militiaman who stood nearby watched in nervous awe, "She's lying. The Core is on Level 3 Down."

DiNay's heart sank and she expected her life to wink out of existence, but a moment passed, and then a second, and Misato grabbed her by the arm, lifted her completely off the ground and shook her. "I'm not done with you yet."

Cayden did not hear what the woman said. Her entire being was fighting to either breath or break the woman's hold, and she wriggled like a mad cat, but she was held firmly by the red headed witch.

In spite of her fighting and twisting, DiNay was drug to the cargo lift where the other militiaman coded it to open and the four stepped inside. The doors shut and the only sound was Cayden's boot kicking the sides of the lift and her mangled screaming. The door opened on Level 3 and the militiaman led the way to a dark green door, coded it open and they entered the pristine tertiary access to the Compound's computer core.

Akoval needed to get rid of the soldier to start downloading the code, but Misato was faster. “Thank you for your assistance. Please escort the prisoner to a holding cell.”, she let go of DiNay for a moment to snap the soldier's neck. “Guess who will be blamed for that?”, she said and grabbed her arm again.

Akoval had started to download the data about attack plans and secret bases. After a minute or longer, he handed the device to Misato. “Good luck Macid. I guess I have to clean up that mess you left in the Najor's office, before this battle is over.”, he said and disappeared in the cargo lift.

“Down the hallway,” Cayden groaned, “double doors on your left. It’s the garage for private vehicles.” She tried to swallow, but her mouth was too dry. It hurt unmercifully just to breath, and she was beginning to feel very nauseated. “There are tunnels going out into the foothills. I hope you got what you came for.” She heaved and vomited, collapsing, light-headed from the pain.

Misato caught her before she passed out, carried her to one of the vehicles and drove into the tunnels through the opening doors.

Hi,

Kind of long overdue for me to explain my prolonged absence. I've been have several personal and work issues to deal with and on top of that, my rickety old computer just doesn't want to connect to the internet reliably and I haven't been able to fix the problem yet. I just don't know when I'll be able to rp again so just npc my characters. I'm sorry about leaving everyone hanging.

Take care everyone and hopefully I'll get things straightened out and be back playing again (just don't know when).

Admiral Braak,CO.
Starbase T'Plana-Hath.
CO Section 31 Alpha Quadrant.
***********************************************

*OM/NM*

<snip>
"Admiral Braak. I am back and I am on a Revenge mission but you need to know that T'Soren has taken over someone else to get her mission accomplished. I do not know who she has taken but you need to be on your guard. I do not know where your next conference is, but if you need me and Bat'leth we can be there ASAP. Right now I am going after T'Soren's superiors. I have the perfect ship and her memories to take me right to their front door and they are going to wish they had never been born. Valkarye out."

<end snip>

By the time the message ended Braak knew that the old Valkarye was back in business.

Braak tapped the comm and reached both Wolf and Martok.

"Heads up guys,I 've heard from Valkarye and she's back in charge of her own self again. Our problem is that T'Soren has jumped to another host and is probably already on her way here if she's not here already. Wolf I need you to increase Security for the event and liason with Senator S'Havraha's Head of Security I believe his name is Valm'et",Braak said not knowing that Valm'et was just the person that T'Soren had taken over.

Wolf told Braak that he would pass the word on to Lt.Blank who was just the type of person to get the job done.

Wolfdreamer stepped into the Banquet Hall and saw Lt.Blank reprimanding a junior officer. The immortal waited until Blank was finished then told him what the Admiral wanted.

"Blank we need the floor plating equipped with sensors and the walls as well. Just incase someone tries to beam into the Hall and disrupt the proceedings. If you can think of anything else we might need feel free to implemnt them",ordered Wolf

<Blank:occ okay Lee there's your entrance>

Martok said that he would alert his forces as well and Braak put the Achilles fighters on alert also. Things were heating up and Braak hoped that it didn't boil over and get them all killed.....

==Hall of Elders==

<Blank/Lee have you prepared your story?>

<ooc: ok so not my best work. a lot shorter then it was suposed to be but its early. the fireworks are yet to come>

The Neko Blackraven was shifting through some of the clothing in the Golden Stitch tailor shop on the promenade. she did this on every station that she visited, looked at the various dresses or skirts available and tried to picture how they would need to be modified to accommodate her tail. she rarely got to buy any though, a lot of the designs she ended up liking would be impractical to modify. but this time her mind really wasn't on the dresses. she was still confused about the events that brought her here today, this station was never part of her travel plans for this outing. She had really been traveling to starbase 612, where she heard there was some really interesting at the moment. But her transport had some problems, she wasn't very clear about what went wrong.  Now she was stuck on this station and no one could tell her how long.

"The selection is very nice, but I'm just not feeling like browsing right now." Blackraven thought letting the hem of a skirt she was looking at go. she was planning to visit this station and its nearby colony soon, but it wasn't likely going to be until next year. It was a big universe and there was so much for her to see, she loved to travel and it was rare for her to return home to Wallach IX. She reluctantly left the tailor shop and stopped dead cold in front of it. across the promenade a haunting memory kicked her in the stomach.  she was just a small Neko child wearing a grey dress she could never forget.

"It's that child." Was her first thought, but she knew that was impossible, that child would be an adult by now if she survived. It was more likely she had been killed when her abusers got tired of her. but here she was, just like she was all those years ago. The child was staring at her dress in confusion, almost like she had never seen the garment before. nervously Blackraven stepped a little closer hoping she wouldn't scare this ghost away.

Shiverpaw didn't notice the adult Neko at first. she had just woken up a few minutes ago from a nap she didn't remember having. to find herself in a strange place that turned out to be near the promonade. and the most strange thing was that she thought she was wearing her cute purple dress. but when she woke up she was wearing a dull grey one that she had never seen before. the voice in her mind startled her.

"are you lost kitten?" Blackraven asked telepathically. she could barely feel this little one's inner voice.

Shiverpaw looked at her with a mixture of fear and confusion. who was this adult Neko? and why was she staring at her so intently. Shiverpaw tried to back up a little, but had nowhere to go until the stranger got close enough to touch her.

"Can't your inner voice speak?" Blackraven asked out loud.  the kitten simply shook her head, not speaking a word.  even this response struck at Blackraven's memory with a painful reminder.
"This is impossible. It can't really be her, but everything is like her." she wasn't sure what was going on here, but she knew that she couldn't fail this child like she did the other one. back then she had underestimated the child's abusers and what they had taught her. she would not make the same mistake again. trying not to jump to conclusions so quickly, just because of what happened in the past. Blackraven spoke to the child again.

"Can you speak?" she asked probing for more information. the child just looked at her afraid, after a long pause she finally nodded her head but remained silent. again Blackraven's thoughts turned to the girl she could have saved once.

"What is your name?" Blackraven tried asking. but the child shook her head.
"This is getting me nowhere, it's obvious someone has been hurting her so badly she is afraid to speak. and her mental development has been stunted." She thought more convinced then ever. slowly she held out her hand.

"Let me take you to sickbay, we can find where you should be. would you like that?" Blackraven asked kindly. at first Shiverpaw refused to take her hand, but she pressed the child until she finally gave in. Blackraven walked with her to the stations main sickbay, along the way trying to get her to say something, she wanted to get some answers out of the child but Shiverpaw rained quiet the entire time. when they arrived in sickbay Blackraven took the child to the nearest medical officer and spoke seriously.

"this child needs to see a doctor right away."
