Nice picture in your profile, Naru. There were a few people talking

to do so, but I havent seen or heard anything else from them.

If there is anyone interested in playing 2nd edit and want it private
let me know. I have a few other private groups that are just sitting
there.

Subject: Level, Race and Class Feat earnings for Monster
emfs2327@...
Send Email Send Email

Hello group,

this is my first posting. My DM and I have been trying to agree on the number of
feats available to a half-celestial L7fighter/L1Divine Champion which is treated
as a L12 character for challenge levels. It seems kind of top-heavy although
I've gone through it a few times now. I am appealing to the board because of the
question of feats earned by virtue of being a half-celestial, and whether this
harmonizes with class feats, and level feats, or whether one of these are
replaced by half-celestial feats. The clause under the half-celestial doesn't
suggest so but the character may look overpowered although a 7th level fighting
in 12th level campaigns, it's kind of iffy. The Monster Manual p214 column A
says, "Feats: Half-celestials have one feat for every four levels or the base
creature's total of feats, whichever is greater."

I must assume the latter part means 'every four levels or (for every four of)
the creature's total of feats, whichever is greater.' If so, then in my case,
the total of feats eventually becomes greater.

So am I right in presuming a half-celestial character gets feats for:

-race (as per Monster Manual)
-class progression?
-*and* level progression?

e.g.
1-Ftr L1
1-FBF (fighter bonus feat)
1-FBF L2
1-Ftr L3
1-Celestial(as per p.214 of MM)(this is used to get the ability to fly)
1-FBF L4
1-Ftr L6
1-FBF L6
1-Celestial

=9 feats for a FtrL7/DCL1 (played in 12th level campaigns because of the
half-celestial race)

to be attained at 2nd level Divine Champion:
1-Ftr feat as per Divine champion class feature, FRC p.43

to be at 3rd level Divine Champion:
1-Celestial?

Thanks in advance for any clarification

I'm not sure this was an open offer, but I would be happy to start
one. It may be a little slow moving, but I try to post at least twice
a week. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Also post a prefered adventure level, if you have one. I have a
couple ready to go. One is designed for rookies, and one for mid-
level adventurers. I also recently picked up the Epic Level Handbook
and have been laying the groundwork for a truly high level adventure.

I need people to become Assistant Game Masters and then Game Masters
of a Third edition game world with some knowlege of Krynn and good
imagenaitions and free time enough to build and run a city without it
becoming stagment and also to start and run adventures pretaining to
that city
Openings
Kendermore
A street map of Kendermore looks like a box filled with writhing
snakes. No two streets are parallel or even straight. Roughly 10,000
kender reside within the chaotic city. The regions around Kendermore
have earned the nickname "Laughing Land."
Thorbardin
An underground kingdom in the Kharolis Mountains, Thorbardin only has
two entrances: Northgate and Southgate, great gates permitting access
to the mountain nation of the dwarves. Thorbardin runs twenty-two
miles from its north end to the south, and fourteen from its eastern
to western border. Dwarven cities surround the massive underground
Urkhan Sea. Most spectacular is the Life Tree of the Hylar clan: a
great stalagmite in the center of the sea where the Hylar dwell
Nethosak
Minotaur society is built upon the principle that might makes right
and no consideration of justice is necessary. In Nethosak, this
philosophy is enforced to the upmost by its current emperor. The city
itself is nothing more than a scattered collection strong stone
structures which surround the well know fighting arena 'Circus'.

OK I talked to the DM. He already has the adventure going on
elsewhere but he needs 3 more players. He may need more later. Email
him corillan@... and tell him Sezul sent you. The club where
its going is
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Lore_of_the_Forgotten_Realms.
He has to approve new memberships, so instead of everyone trying to
join the club email him first so he won't have to worry about
approving so many new people. If there are more of you that wants to
play in an adventure, post here letting me know. I stay in contact
with several D & Der's.

Do you have a general idea of exactly when the DM will be coming

level, use of prestige classers, templates, etc., I would really
appreciate it if you could try & get this information, & I believe so
would everyone else.

Staying 5th a fifth level pc if your character
dies is "interesting" But I always dock a level. That
way there is a little less reason to do a suicide
charge, and if you do charge the guns bravely saving your
friends. Everyone knows ya did something. Works in my

Ok i have to give my opinion on this one. First
of this guy doesn't sound like he is a DM. He sounds
as if he is tryin gto play his game using your
characters. Now the whole level thing could have been avoided
if he followed what I do in my games. i have say 4-5
players no more no less. When one of the 5 leaves the
game another character of the same level as that
character joins the party keeping the levels about the same
and the number of people in the partie. If you are in
my game your character dies you are still a 5th
level player who creates a 5th level pc to take the
spot the last 5th level pc vacated. Make sense?
