I always did like Hextorites, they are so much more honest in their oppression
than the worshippers of his evil twin.

Hi Darrell,

There is no such official document. The most likely reaction would be Unfriendly. The character would be constantly harrassed by the local guards (mostly Hextorites) who would try to lure them into attacking the guard or committing some kind of crime. If arrested treatment would be much harsher, guilt much easier assumed and punishment more severe. That meta-book is slightly outdated and hopefully gets updated soon.
But official position in Naerie is that worshipping Trithereon makes
you a terrorist (Idee Volunteer) supporter and thus an enemy of the
state.

However, typically only homeborn Tritheronites are killed. Foreigners
are more often banished to exile unless they were also guilty of
things like killing local guards, etc. Of course if caught a second
time, they are killed.

Hard to say about the entirety of Ahlissa, but in the Principality of Naerie, at least, the worship of Trithereon is punishable by death or exile. I think it's never been explicitly stated one way or the other for the entire country.

One source for this is the Naerie metagame book, rather inconveniently only available in the Files section of the Naerie Yahoogroup: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/naerieLG/

The Naerie Gazetteer also mentions it. Get it here. http://www.naerie.net/download.html

ESA6-03 River to the Sea of Choices has only minor conflict potential
included, and that is only a problem if the player's characters have
very varying backgrounds.

ESA6-04 Gift of the Tempest should run more or less without causing to
much problems.

ESA7-01 Wooden Ships and Souls of Iron is more or less straight forward.

COR6-03 Riders of the Grave has no moral dilemmas in it.

COR6-10 Murder at Elmshire might be a border case.

COR6-11 Return to the Storm Tower is also straightforward.

that is all the adventures i can think of at the moment that fulfill
your requirement and i have played.

Well while I'm not able to recommend something off the top of my head
(just too much gencon stuff filling my brain atm) but one you should
avoid is Second Chances (at least not without reading it first to decide
for yourself) due to the main plot point.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Core or Splintered Sun
meta-regional that is currently in play which would work well with a
couple of young (as in under 10) players at the table? They have played
before, but we usually go by friends who mention that a particular
adventure would be a good one for them.

(Not that their character would gain any advantages from the AR, more
that there would be no problems with the story elements; complicated

Many thanks.

Hi all,

The meta-regional ESA7-02 No Parley in the Pirates' Code is available
for order for home play from 12 July 2007. If you are organizing a
convention or gameday you can contact your local triad for potential
earlier availability. While the adventure states it is an APL 2
adventure, it is at its heart an Introduction scenario and it is most
fun to play with 1st level (and perhaps one or two 2nd level)
characters. It is the beginning of a series set in the see of Medegia
that certainly at its start involves a lot of Stormwrack material. You
might not want to start this series with asherati, centaurs and other
ship-hating characters.

ESA7-02 No Parley in the Pirates' Code
by Colleen Simpson

Medegia is a land torn by strife, ruled by small time landlords,
forever warring over every piece of land. Even its coasts are unsafe.
In the See of Medegia, you'll discover that there's no such thing as a
"Pirates' Code". A one-round Splintered Suns meta-region adventure set
in the See of Medegia for characters level 1-2. (APL 2)

Yours sincerely,

Pieter Sleijpen

Speaking of Gencon, and with the early bird discount deadline fast
approaching, does anyone know the situation with "Belkram's Tomb"?

    Undermountain: Belkram's Tomb

Return to the Forgotten Realms as you brave Undermountain! Decend
deep into Belkram's Fall and unlock the secrets of Belkram's Tomb.
Create a 4th-level character, or use a pregenerated one. As you
adventure, some treasure you find may be applied to an existing
Living Greyhawk or Xen'drik Expeditions character.

I have a Level 4 LG character, who is too weak for most LG scenarios
because he is seriously behind the gold curve (at 4th level his only
permanent magic item is a single 1st level pearl of power, he doesn't
even have masterwork armour). He is, however, fun to play (he has an
outrageous feather in his hat and an even more ridiculously outrageous
Spanish accent).

So, is Belkram's Tomb just a dungeon crawl, or will there be interesting
opportunities to interact with the denizens of the Forgotten Realms in
ways other than at the point of a sword? (Trickster gods love their
priests to go out and meet new people and scam them. *8')

I assume if we are to bring anything back with us, we will need to have
an AR and thus the scenario will need to have a special code (separate
ones for LG & XE characters I guess *8'). Or is it treated as a new kind
of adaptable?

I'm just interested to know how this module fits in with LG.

Take care,

Mark..........

Gen Con UK takes place from August 30th to September 2nd at the
University of Reading. For full details see the website at
www.consupport.com

The schedule for the various RPGA and other Living campaigns is now
available. GM sign up is open already and Player sign up will open next
Sunday.

Living Greyhawk

CGR7-01 Ruins of Discovery
Neophyte adventurers have long flocked to the City of Greyhawk to seek
fame and fortune. This year, however, is different; intrigue and the
reawakening of a site of legend, provide the brave and the lucky with
plenty of opportunities for glory (or ignominy). It is a shame that
murder is the catalyst for rivals to come together in a time of need. A
two-round Greyhawk Ruins adventure for 1st-level characters (APL 2) set
in the Domain of Greyhawk.

COR7-12 Heart's Desire
The thief showed his heart's desire to his wife. Worth more than
anything they had seen before, the stolen jewel promised a new life for
them if only they could get far enough from Greyhawk and the criminals
for whom he worked. A one-round Core adventure set in the Domain of
Greyhawk for characters levels 1-11 (APLs 2-8).

COR7-13 Journey to the Hidden Shrine
It's a quick trip to the Gnarley Forest. How hard can it be? A one-round
Core adventure set in the Domain of Greyhawk for characters levels 1-11
(APLs 2-8).

COR7-14 The Densac Queen
Years ago a sailing ship mysteriously appeared inland on the busy trade
route into the Wild Coast towns. It was quickly turned into a
way-station. Not long after, the Pomarj pushed north and trade dropped
to a trickle. Nowadays only a few desperate souls are willing to brave
this rainy night in the name of the Greyhawk Guilds. A one-round Core
adventure set in the Domain of Greyhawk for characters levels 1-15 (APLs
2-12).

CORS7-03 Into White Plume
Long a place of legend, tales of White Plume Mountain are well known.
Once the lair of the infamous wizard, Keraptis, the threat from this
mountain was thought laid low decades ago. Now, though, tremors shake
the ground and thick black smoke rising from the mountain's summit casts
a sinister shadow over the surrounding lands. A one-round Core Special
adventure set in White Plume Mountain for characters levels 1-15 (APLs
2-14).

Gen Con UK 2007 Open Fiesta

The broad, green lands of the Flanaess await - cities of soaring spires,
proud kingdoms and desolate wastes. Travel dangerous paths and dark
roads in search of fortune, glory and, mayhap, your fate.

This slot offers the opportunity to play Regional Modules from across
the Living Greyhawk campaign. Modules are subject to availability of DMs
from other regions.

Living Arcanis

LA-SP5-10 Flowering of the Blood Vine, by James Zwiers
LA-SP5-11 Blood Calls to Blood, by James Zwiers
LA-SP5-12 Expedition to Goram'Zob, by James Zwiers
LA-BI5-03 Reclamation of Goram'Zob, by James Zwiers

Three Undermountain modules where you may find treasure that can be used
to an existing Living Greyhawk or Xen'drik Expeditions character.

Xen'drik Expeditions

EXP-5 Shargon's Rage
BWC-7 A Test of Mettle
CDX-7 A Costly Truth
CSH-7 Whispers Behind the Door
CVN-7 Dark Fugitive

Star Wars Saga Edition - Prelude to Defiance

Long-running UK Living Campaign Lihr

And finally the launch of a new UK based Living campaign using the the
Iron Heroes variant PHB - Dragonmouth.

The reference to the maps is an error. There is no terrain in there that
a DM cannot come up. It was a time-energy-usefullness issue.

Yes, it will be released here as well (and I have been involved in the
reviewing process). Which reminds me to remind them to send the latest
version so that I can start adapting it. The number will be ESA7-03
and it probably premiers early May.

For the curious and alert, "ESA7-02 No Parley in the Pirates Code" by
Colleen is virtually finished. It will be play-tested next week and it
should become available at the end of April or early May. It is an APL
2 adventure designed for 1st level characters, but if you want you can
play it with 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even 5th lvl characters (in short
standard rules), just don't expect too much of a challenge. It is the
start of a long-term plot line about Medegia, and the first few
adventures will heavily involve Stormwrack. (I am already working on
the sequal ESA7-0X Dead Men's Curse -no promise on when it premiers, I
have way too many other projects going on right now- and Pierre van
Rooden is working on the third part.)

Yours sincerely,

The first part of the "Terrors of the Deep" series, the APL 2-10
scenario "Gift of the Tempest", was released as a Metaregional in two
Metaregions (ESA6-04 & NMR6-05). I note from the latest update to the
LG website ( http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/lgad/20070410a )
that Part 2 of the series ( NMR7-02 "The Wake of the Tempest" ) has
now been released in Nyrond; is the series going to continue to span
the two Metaregions with each scenario being released in both, or is
there some other plan ?

A couple of years ago, at a GenCon UK, I wanted my PC to join
the Onnwal army. The GM for my table told me it was no problem,
that we would work it out after we played the mod.

After the mod, he proceeded to tell me that because I hadn't
joined the army BEFORE the mod, I couldn't get the special
benefits for being in the army (that just happened to be on
that AR)

I'm still a bit bitter about that when I hear that you can't
join a metaorg on an AR and get benefits from that mod.
The DM couldn't be bothered to deal with it before the mod,
even though there were consequences to my PC because of it.

On a related note: Other regions have started to note in the
module's blurb when a given metaorg is involved in a module.
This helps PCs choose the appropriate PC for a given module.

Just some thoughts,
Mike M.
