The monsters are not completely balanced. Kraken e.g. is too cheap.
Corroborating the expression that "Sea of Blood" was released
prematurely, as the flyer rules are broken, too, a lot more so.
Another problem is that the range of max 6 options on a d6  (actually
often only 5, as 1 always misses) restricts options when designing
rules/ships/etc. A d20 would be better, giving 20 increments,
furthermore easily converted to 100%.

Am I the only one thats finds the promethean sea monster (the crab thing) a bit
weak - only having two wounds..? the sea drgaon on the same page seems a lot
stronger with its four wounds..

also.. is it not a typo that the megaladon is shown as constituting three battle
honours, since it only costs 50 points?

I wonder if those two numbers might not have been swapped by mistake.

No offense to meant, but it almost seems as though mike throws out (pun fully
intended) to throw away everything rather than sell them (or if he can't sell
them quickly enough) in order to drum up interest and find a buyer who will give
him X number of dollars (or pounds in his case, I believe) quickly.  Again,
maybe I'm mistaken, but its come up in almost all of his posts, so I thought I'd
mention it.

So, what does it all mean?  Just that if he fully intends to sell them and not
throw them on the rubbish pile, then just sell them and not post the drama about
throwing them away.  Baiting gamers who collect games such as MoW all out of
sorts that you're going to throw away something a lot of us would love to have
is more than a little mean spirited.

Lastly, it seems that Mike wants to (a) just get rid of the items to clear up
space in his closet, even if that means throwing them away, but (b) wants a fair
amount of cash for them, or he will throw them away.  The two don't make sense
together.  Either he wants to sell them and make *some* money and make space in
his closet or he just wants to

That last sentence of mikecarmikael is just an old, well known and foul
marketing trick to create a feeled "pressing"/urgent situation here on a
list where mainly MoW aficionados are around and thus to drive up the
price.
The same trick I have often seen on oldtimer lists/boards:
People trying to rip off by threathening driving the good car they are
offering, however with an unrealistic price,
to the car baler instead if nobody is willing to take the insane price.

Come on, who would really throw away several hundred dollars of value in
MoW ships, esp. nowadays ebay really is a sellers board (e.g. you have
the risk-free reserve price on ebay)?

I have everything I need (and was spoiled rotten with a lucky purchase, as I
paid about 60$ at an estate sale for 130 ships!), but your promise to toss
'em out has caught me by the heartstrings.

If you're interested, and no one steps up with a better offer, feel free to
email me at mattalexprice at gmail.  I never look at my yahoo account.  I've
not seen big lots sell at all on ebay (but I've only been looking for the
past few months), as most folks here will have already at least some of what
you're selling and the economy is so crap these days.  Your best bet is to
split them, as others have suggested.  I suspect you could make more than
I'm offering, if you don't mind the bother.  Or wait out the economy, and
try again in a year (or 15 more?).

the Photos, you guys know better what that stuff is.you have the pictures, you
can write me what you are willing to offer.

hardly pay this without knowing precisely what you have.
Here, we try to lower a littl ebay prices, which are usually very high. But then
you shouldn't have to pay ebay taxes and loose lots of time putting your stuff
on ebay.

Rasmus created the Ship Calculator with the idea of having a set of formulas
that would accurately depict a ship's value in points. He designed it to use the
Imperial Wargalley as the standard by which all other ships get ranked.

It's currently in version 2.35 and is located in the files folder at:

http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/theseaofclaws/files/Ship%20Calculator/

I have since gone through and added in other formulas for fleet purchasing and
color co-ordinated it so it's easy to read. I've been slowly adding all the
player created ships from our past month's discussions.

It's an excel file by the way.
