I don't know about files, but a lot will depend on the technology of
what you're encountering and the fuel being used. but think of the
joy to be gained from the following types of fuel (g)

alcohol
wind - mechanical or electrical
water - mechanical or electrical
wood
dung!
peat
coal/lignite (coal gas?)
other burnables (heather, bracken, etc)

There are so many things to use out there that you can decide for
yourself. For instance, approaching a village, you can smell
something smoky. It isn't wood smoke. On the moors you can see
what look like piles of stones. On closer examination they are
stones covering piles of turf (peat) - etc.

Or the simplicity of wood: As you approach the farm house, you can
see large quantities of split logs piled up against one side of the
barn. It is four feet wide and eight high, under the overhang of the
roof.

You can figure out the glorious aroma's and the wide pavements of
drying dung for yourself, mate (btw drying cow dung is an excellent
way of creating potholes in tarmac).

Interesting comparing it to the one in photos on this site - I did that
by looking at the pic in the original rule book and then adjusting the
Land master.

Speaking of looking for a group, I'm moving to Beacon, NY area early next
year (end of January), and I'm looking for a weeknight gaming session.
I'm not that picky about what I play, I just need to be able to get out
of the cell on a regular basis and do something other than fire-stuff.

Dear List Members:

I have 4 different lots of painted, partial painted and
unpainted figure lots for sales from various companies.

They are listed as follows:

1980's British Army (painted) (Platoon 20)

This is a set of 26 figures and 3 vehicles. Of the 26 Infantry 21
are painted to very good/excellent standard. 2 of the figures are
primed and 3 are partially painted. (The pictures show 25 infantry I
found another after I took the picture.) As you can see there is a
mix of figures with berets and helmets. Besides regular infantry
there is a Recoilless Rifle and Crew, Machine Gun team, 3 Anti Tank
Launchers, 1 Sam Launcher and a Sniper. The ones that are on bases
are based on balsa and it would not take much to remove the balsa and
glue them to another type of base. In general they stand about 23mm
tall to the top of the head. Some are taller and it really depends on
the headgear or lack of that they have on.

The 3 vehicles consist of 1 FV432 APC that still needs to have a
little detail work done to the tracks, 1 Scorpion Light Tank that is
very well detailed and 1 Fox Armored Car that is very well detailed
(the Fox is a hand built and was custom made out of several plastic
kits. Both the FV432 and the Scorpion are metal.

Terminus V 20mm miniatures from Scorpions Nest:

This lot is made up of 20 upainted figures and 25 painted figures.
20 are painted in US Army 1980's woodland cammo pattern with vietnam
are webbing colors and 5 cold weather troops painted in snow cammo
pattern with gear. The figures are based on 1" x 1" bases with
rubble/grass flocking. All of the figures have different poses and
different weapons.

Stan Johansen mercenaries: This lot has all of the packs listed on
the following page link except for the divers:

http://www.stanjohansenminiatures.com/mercs.htm

Platoon 20 Partially painted 1980's Russian Miniatures: This lot
has about 5 dozen partially painted russian troops with various small
arms and fair number of rocket launchers. Some are primed, partially
painted in one with of the russian camo patterns. The bases are
unflocked.

I have two figure lots of The Morrow Project RPG that were made
by Ta-Har and Raven's Forge figures that are being sold in two lots.

The 1st lot consists of 117 miniatures that were made by Ta-Hir
in the early 1980's. The scale is old style 25mm. The lot consists
alot of prone & kneeling figure. There are small number of standing
figures. Most are armed with M-79 grenade launchers and the Stoner
M22 assault rifle. A couple of figures are armed with M16 assault
rifles.

The 2nd lot consists of a mixture of the Ta-Hir and Raven's Forge

Quite a while ago I put forward the Humber Project, my original take on
the Atlantis Project in the Uk. Now, there were some copyright issues
with that and I never quite got back round to puttin it back together,
although I know a lot more about the political divisions than I did
back then.

But now I'm trying to put it back together again and so I've put the
prologue and new cover into the files.

I'll upload different sections as I retype them beginning with the
character and equipment updates.

Just one thing - this is going to be based on a time line date of
1989. I have no current intention of updating the equipment to
current date - bluntly because I see no reason to issue updated weapons
when the ones chosen by the sleepers are just as good to use as the
more modern ones we get nowadays.

Again this is spam but brings up an interesting idea. How would you
"recruit" for the Morrow Project? Employment agencies maybe, but
college campuses are out. So what would you do? A dating service that
asked slightly "off" questions to establish a certain pysch profile or
someone who has an in at a military recruiting program to have access to
skill sets and psych profiles of applicants. Any other ideas?
