There are currently several versions available for download:
The Atari-Version on the Thalion Webshrine contains several copy protection bugs.
From the yahoo group I got a download that contained only one bug in the final cave, preventing from finishing the game.
I was never able to run the Amiga version.

A few weeks ago, there was a new cracked version available that claimed to be bug free, but I didn't had time to check it out so far.

Hope that helps

Does anyone know if it's possible to get through the whole game without
running into a bug that stops you from finishing it? I'm referring to
the english atari or amiga versions that can be downloaded for use on
an emulator. Thanks.

Alex,
can you check the logs if there are indeed any Atari/Amiga browsers accessing
the site? If it's only marginal, then would suggest it's time for a revamp.

If you're eager to change it, use css and make alle the items' size in
percent.
This way, the page would scale according to the visitor's browser size.

Anyway, most people I know are still using XGA; and with all the icons and
tabs the browser usually wrap around a page, the site looks fine.

When I created the Thalion Webshrine, I wanted it to be viewable using
a web browser on an Amiga or Atari (ST/Falcon) and so each page is
formatted to a template making them perfect for the resolutions on
those platforms (or a television).

As PC's have gone forward, I've started to notice that this makes the
Thalion Webshrine webpages look a little small (especially on my new
19" 1600x1200 LCD).

Anyone think I should increase the font size and layout? Or stick the
way it is?

Stick it.
Or even remove any font-settings from pages and let the visitor decide
by their own browsersettings- they will be usually known it better what
the want as you can imagine.

We're very proud to present the first ever crack of Dragon Flight on
the Atari St.

Melcus has certainly excelled himself with a cracked, packed,
ram-disked, HD installable and not to mention Falcon fix for this cool
RPG.

The game also runs on real 1Mb ST's.

Enjoy

All made up by me... no great thinking behind it, I was just trying to
come up with sci-fi-y names.

Not proud of that story in retrospect, the one for Lionheart was much
more fun :)

I don't know the origin of the name of the game itself.

I gotta ask any ex-Thalion member reading this; Where did the names in
the game Trex Warrior come from?

"Mando Quant"
"Axaro Mey"
"Riano Bolar"

Do they have any significance, or were they just made up on the spur
of the moment?

Alex

P.s. Did the game get it's name from "T.Rex Electric Warrior" album?

Don't ask me why I'm correcting this now, but this was supposed to read:

"Although the Amber series was fun, we wanted to do something a little
tighter and deeper [than the Amber universe], which combined many
quite different elements (witches, Egyptian elements, different
planets, etc.)"

The Albion universe featured Celts, aliens, and spaceships, but there
was an attempt to explain how they got together...

Same problem for me: when entering the cave, my party dies.
I am pretty sure this is a leftover copy protection, like at the
Halftone scene in the original release.

Now, this is the third time I am trying to complete this game in vain,
so it begins to suck on me ;)

We're not dead :P

Work in the background of the Thalion Webshrine has been progressing;

I've been creating and collecting IPF (http://www.softpres.org/) and
PASTi ( http://pasti.fxatari.com/ ) disk images of original Thalion
games. The addition of these files to the Webshrine should offer a
better experience over the cracked disk images currently available.

I've been creating and collecting WHDload http://www.whdload.de slaves
and images of the Thalion games for Amiga users so they can be played
from hard drive on original accelerated classic Amiga's.

I've also been talking with Atari ST / Falcon coders to try to bring
more Hard Drive compatible single filed versions of the Thalion games.

Work with BuZz of Exotica (http://exotica.fix.no) and XtC of unexotica
has provided me with All the original music files by Jochen Hippel,
Matthias Steinwachs and other Thalion musicians which will soon be
available for download with playback from Deliplayer
(http://www.deliplayer.com) or UADE
(http://zakalwe.virtuaalipalvelin.net/uade/). Thanks to Don Adan of
Wanted Team for improving some of the Jochen Hippel Players, and
Nicolas "Mr.STYCKX" Pomarede of MYST

Various devoted Webshrine fans, KultPower ( http://www.kultpower.de ),
and Ebay has provided 100's of Magazine reviews and Previews for
Thalion games. The list (http://thalion.atari.org/thalion.txt) is FAR
from complete, but soon a database of coverscans and review scans and
translations will be available. Perfect for an Ex-Thalion employee's CV ;)

I've finally found time to write the webpages for A320 Airbus and
TowerFRA.

All of these and more are to be released as soon as I move into my new
house.

It's an interesting time.

When you enter the cave, a special scene should appear; although it's
not just a simple animation, I suppose it's an external program like
the animations and it's the same error as in the first release of the
STEEM version, where instead of starting the animation sequences e.g.
of Halfton the party died.

- But I completed the German Dragonflight on a real Atari ST; it is
the best version of all and it had only one "bug": the hidden
treasures in the world reappeared after a computer reset.
