The Tampa Bay Gaming Association (TBGA) is an organized group of game players that have the following goals and objectives:
*Educate and instruct its members and the public about game players. *Broaden and develop gaming as art and recreation. *Promote gaming as a significant element of culture *Encourage membership and participation in appropriate gaming organization events.
We play a variety of games including Board Games, Miniature Games (both historical and sci-fi/fantasy), Role-Playing Games and Card Games.
“Day at the Museum: When Miniatures Attack! Has been cancelled.”
Due to a lack of minimum gamer reservation (we needed at least 40) to attend the event, and a lot of last minute ‘double-talk’ from the Armed Forces Museum about guaranteeing them a $250.00 fee for hosting a gaming event to promote ‘THEIR’ museum (even though everyone was paying the museum an $8.00 museum admission fee), we have had to cancel the event for this coming Saturday, June 27th. I tried to negotiate a shorter game session for less money, but was given an ultimatum by the museum that I could not guarantee.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause as I hate to cancel any area gaming event. We had a lot of great games planned (both miniatures and board games) and though it is a loss to us, it is a greater loss to the museum for the opportunity and support that they have lost.
If we can find a different location, where we are not relying on someone else, we will try to plan a similar event. (Though, I can’t promise full scale tanks and etc.) If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
