Rock on.

We look consumate, and indeed, hardcore.

Anyone know how to access the full-size pictures? All I can get
(annoyingly) are the 400x300 screen pics.

Given that the picture information lists 'em as around a meg each (a
suitable size for our heroic reputation *grins*) - there's got to be
a way to get at those. I've had this problem with the SR yahoo group
and hosted files before, and never found a viable solution.

Well boys and girls I would like to thank you from the bottom of my
heart for making the StormWolves an amazing success over the last 7
years. It has been the most fun...ever. Call me arrogant in the
extreme but I think we have had a pretty good impact on the game
system judging by the reactions of people to our departure.

Still, whatever people are doing next good luck and we'll see you on
the battlefield.

Rurisk jumps down of the boat and goes to find Casamir.

"At some point I assume you will want to talk about walls death

The two red runes on the stormwolves hands underlight his face with a
baleful red glow clashing badly with the runes of blue upon his face..

Kort lazily opens an eye and casts a glance through the beams of
light that pierce the leafy canopy above.

On the shore the Stormwolves are unloading the camp equipment.

Kort spies Canute, the sunlight glinting off his grin.

"Cheesy git".

With a sigh he stands and makes his way down to the shore to help
with the unloading. The balmy summer on the Isle had been quite
enjoyable....

"I'm getting old".

As he nears the shore, the sound of raised voices meets him. Looking
to his left, Kort sees a group of YoungBloods sparring with spears.

With a smile Kort changes direction.

"Ho lad!! Hold yer ground! The quicker ya back off, the quicker ya
end up skewered".

Canute waded through the surf, his pack and spear held high above the
brine. Reaching the shore he turned, watching the Stormwolves
dragonship recede into the distance, it's banner fluttering proudly
in the late afternoon sunlight.
'Odin be praised.' he whispered as he thought of friends and enemies
past. Fantasising of perhaps, one day, finding a home amongst them.
Turning, he stared up the coast towards the town on the hilltop, and
with a frown, he tied a bandanna over the brands of his people.
Hefting his pack and marshaling his thoughts, he walked, hoping to
see Court, his only friend in this part of Norsca, still alive.
Turning once more, he stared over the waves to the distant speck on
the horizion, shaking his head at fate's grand design.

Suddenly, his face broke into a wide grin as he jingled his heavy
money pouch, giving praise for the stupidity of Jhereg, yet lamenting
those priests of the other peoples, who deny themselves of so many
pleasures in life.

'Court, my friend, we're going to have fun tonight!' He laughed as he
set off once more.

Thorsten (driftwood) hops off the boat after Ristain. Looks around at
the isle docks and realises that it feels like coming home, After all
the time fealing like he didn't belong, it took going away to make it
feel right.

With a small smile on his face, Ristain drops from the ship above
onto the rough sands of the island of Myst.

"it's good to be home" he says to anybody who might be listening as
the hubub of unloading the long ship transpires around him. He
smiles again as he takes a brief moment to survey his brothers and
sisters... As he surveys their faces he is struck with the certainty
that despite the foreboding of a hard decision in their future, the
Stormwolves will weather the change and serve the gods as ever they
have.

Even the thought of having to have a days tutorial from Westag fails
to break his good mood and with that in mind he strides up the beach
to find the old man and let him know the news....

(OOC: Cheers again for a really enjoyable event - even though I had
to endure the indignity of a 100m repel from Zell, Halfdan and
Rurisk and 22 consecutive losses at poker dice and poker to Runa it
still was an excellent event purely coz you guys make it fun. Ta
Andy)

Thorsten looked bored, Having not been fully trained in
the "stormwolf way" he had not been allowed to attend the last
gathering of the factions, Countless drills and tests later he had
been deemed worthy of attending the next, which seemed to creep
closer at an ever slower pace. If one thing had come form the drills
It was that Thorsten was gifted in the healing arts and not warfare
proper, and had been unoficially apprenticed to Ristain.

Looking up Thorsten saw his would be teacher cresting the rise before
the Great hall.

" Hi Ristain!"
"who are you looking for?"
"dont suppose you have any mead, do you?"

'Life' thought Ristain upon waking, 'is a little odd'

Shaking away the last cobwebs of sleep Ristain raises
from the forest floor and unwraps himself from the
carabou pelt he had used as a blanket.

Looking around he relises that he is no longer in his
village and for a moment of confusion wonders why it
is so cold... Then it all comes back to him.

The raid. The conquerors from the north. The lady he
was forced to serve. The grudging respect he formed
for a culture of warriors and poets. The mists that
stole his memories and the helm that took his mind.
But above all thoughts of his new found mistress, a
godess of unimaginable knowledge and compassion....

A few moments later, clarity had passed and Ristain is
left with the vague sensation of an impending and
momentous event to come, two roads to the same
destination... Gathering his scant belongings he heads
back to the hall of the Stormwolves and prepares to
explain to Gunn why he missed the longship to the last
gathering of the factions.

Hey! Come derry doll! Hop along, my hearties!
Hobbits! Ponies all! We are fond of parties.
Now let the fun begin! Let us sing together!

We're having a party. Tasha (aka Allanya) finishes her finals soon
and we're having a bit of a bash on Saturday 29th May, to celebrate
them finishing. Everybody is invited, but you have to come in
costume. The theme (if you hadn't worked it out already) is Lord of
The Rings.

I don't have everybody's email address, so I'm resorting to posting
here.

It's at our house in Reading. I'm not going to post my address here,
seeing as we seem to have a random guest at the moment. Email me if
you need directions (lucy.degraft-johnson@...). There's
crashing space for people to stay, though some people will probably
need to decamp 5 mins down the road if we run out of space. Turn up
from about 8pm ish.

I may not have managed to get in touch with everybody. So if you
know anybody who might want to come along and hasn't got an invite,
pass the message on.

Hope to see you there.

Lucy (aka Bevyn)

Dave Y,

I worked out on a percentage basis (characters vs. events) that you
have a survival rate of '75% of the event' for your next character.

Of course, percentage allocation is not time specific...

the 25% death factor could easily be compressed into the first 5 mins
of the event.

My characters fine as long as he stays clear of Wetslag!

Yeah - Thanks for a cracking time too guys!

Special mention again to Adrian "Pimp Jarl" Casamir for the brilliant

Good to be back with the Stormwolves after a brief sabbatical.

Looking forward to a year of dodging assasins.

Adrian has CLEARLY missed his calling in life. You could be a

In fact... next event you need a plethora of gold medallions and

I think that next event, people should be exposed to Jamie and

That'll scare em.

We're obviously not as hardcore as we used to be, mental note to
self: must remember to bigger and hairyer at the next event.

I hope everyone had a good time and is filled with enthusiasm for
Fayre.

Also to Rachel, glad you had a laugh, looking forward to the next one?

Everyone who didnt come shame on you, unless you had a good excuse,
you should be especially gutted to you missed the Ballad of Gunn as
penned by our own Casamir. Although the Battle Song of Erin (Again by
Casamir) raised a few moist eyes in the tent, although all claimed it
was the smoke.
