Just a heads up, those distances are also talking about using a 12-14" knife, not a 6" spike. Everybody throws differently! The notes you mentioned are just guidelines and it really depends on the throwing technique/style of the person throwing the darts!
You might be 6" closer or 6:" further from the target, it all depends on whose throwing.
Then again, I was out tonight giving lessons and throwing the darts and got 2 new people throwing the stiletto darts and had 2 other male friends interested in trying!
These things really are a great time once you get them dialed in! :-)

I tried going down to my board last night to see if I could adjust to
use the 1/2 turn throw. Theoretically, it should be more consistent
once it is mastered. After using the full turn throw for over a year
now, I am having a difficult time adjusting. Besides, I think the
full turn throw looks cooler :)
