There's the CalCubeTimer39;s notation, using subscript 2s and 3s to denote double and triple layer turns (I assume)....

We've been using prefixes mostly. 2R = the second layer of R 2r = block turn up to the second layer. 2r2 = 180 degree block turn of the rightmost 2 layers etc....
