SoRCon is an annual board games convention; the next SoRCon (the sixth) will be from 1st to 3rd March 2013. It was born out of the hugely popular Ramsdencon, which sadly finished in 2006.
The SoRCon Society also holds other events, the next will be a fifth Essex Games Day on Sunday 15th July 2012.
The SoRCon website, with further details of each, is at http://www.sorcon.co.uk. Note that it is best (and cheaper before Christmas) to book early for SoRCon. Essex Games Day is payment on the door only.
This group is for use by those coming to, or thinking of coming to, SoRCon or an Essex Games Day, for matters related to the convention such as arranging games, transport, discussing what's near, feedback and so on, as well as announcements of future events. Postings about other games events or clubs in or around Essex are also welcome.

... It is possible to set things up so messages from new members are moderated ... In the UK Shadowfist group we get about 1 attempt to do this every 3-4
