RE: Fw: slammers ,predators

Robert,
You may find Predators work best in an umpired game where your players think
they are just fighting each other. An urban gang vs police scenario, as in the
second Predator film is much less likely to arouse their suspicions than any
jungle setting.

I haven't seen the Alien vs Predator movie yet, so can't comment on it, but I
have read quite a few of the AvP comics.

Slammer's multi-player mechanism would let the umpire or a Predator player drop
into the game at any point. Predators would start with high activation, giving
them rapid moves and the chance to do an interrupt/opportunity fire on a target
units Active turn. Predators really need the advantage of surprise, as once
their targets realise what they're facing then their days are numbered.

You should bear in mind that Predators are trophy hunters, their main aim should
be to acquire the head of a worthwhile opponent. They should be penalised for
wanton slaughter of defenceless or low value targets. The Predator needs to
observe it's prey and choose a suitable prize. This may mean giving your human
players heroes or notable characters in their set-up.

The Yahoo group is relatively easy to join up to, or just go along and view:

If you do join up, you choose whether to receive individual e-mails, daily
digests, special messages or no e-mails. You can access the message archive and
game files too.

Regards,

Chris
