Sorry for the extreme quiet on the Sims2 front. I just got my
computer brought back from the dead today, and Sims2 is not
reinstalled as of yet. However, I will be reinstalling, and then
going through my downloads again.
I will be creating more items, but it appears that a catastrophic
failure of my C drive wiped many of my creations that hadn't been
uploaded. As such, it will be a bit before I'm up and running again
but I'll have a special reward for all you group members who haven't
forgotten about my little items.
I managed another trip to Pompeii and Herculaneum with a stop at
Oplontis' Poppea's Villa and even Boscoreale, though we were unable to
follow the driving directions to Stabia. I will start working on new
items from there ASAP.
If anyone has photos of Roman trips they've taken that they'd like me
to create items based upon, feel free to add them to my "requests"
folder. Also, if you have websites that you think may be of use, or
of interest I'm always open to new suggestions and ideas.
Many thanks for continuing to use the group and the downloads. Here's
to getting more up and running soon!
Well, due to a catastrophic failure on the part of my network that's only just been repaired I was unable to compete in this month's new Creature Challenges at MTS2.
However, I've uploaded the set here, for the group to enjoy. Hopefully it helps deck out some Roman homes.
There are 4 complete floors, 3 tile-repeats for each. They're all found under TILE and cost $1 per piece.
Ojo - Perhaps your sims feel as though they've been cursed? Maybe a lead curse tablet has their name on it, or they've angered the Fates? This is the floor for you! The ojo might look like a normal mosaic, but it's great protection for the Ojo Malo (Evil Eye). Please remember to consult your local curandera if you continue to experiance curse-like symptoms. ;)
The Vortex - A set of circles whirl in upon themselves. Are they getting larger, or are you getting smaller?
Ancient Tic-tac-toe - Are the circles winning? Or is it the squares in the lead? Only you and your sim will know for sure! Mind Bender - Are the edges swirling into the center? Are they snaking out to the edge? This optical illusion will keep you entertained for hours! Just remember to make your sim go to work, sleep, or to eat or they might just waste away. ;)
My appologies to the group, we've been dealing with serious Telecom
Italia issues again (still - take your pick). We have totally
replaced our Alice modem, so hopefully the issues are solved.
I'm currently working on a submission for the MTS2 ancient worlds
contest. As such, my uploads here will be a bit sporadic but they
will resume ASAP.
Thanks, and take care!

My other stuff:
Several items of mine on Sims2Workshop:
http://www.sims2workshop.com/viewforum.php?f=17
I'm "rms" on TSR, but there is very little I've uploaded there.
An idea I use to get alot of items I use is to search surrounding
periods - Midievil works the best but Regency, Victorian, Edwardian,
Tudor, even Fantasy will turn up alot of hair/clothes meshes that can
be used. Don't forget to search for Greek and Classical and Ancient
as well.
Hope those help. Rhianna

Dawn,
Thanks for the compliment, and I hope you enjoy the files on the
board. I do try to rotate them on a regular basis.
So far, however, I've only recolored that little bit of clothing. I'm
still learning how to do it (let alone properly) so that's I've got at
the moment. I can give you some links to different sites that have
Roman or Greek clothing if you're interested.

Okay, I uploaded a few totally new files. They're in completely new
folders - "Clothes" & "Genetics".
It's "Fortia". The complete Sim is named Fortia. I created the skin,
eye color, and clothing. There is a shirt with a Roman mural of a
Lararium on it. It's not exactly time period appropriate, but the
picture on it is, so ...
I created 2 forms of the "underwear". I've selected it as available
for undies, pajamas, workout, and daily (I think). There is a plain
version, and a textured version of the items.
I've included a new pic of just her on the "previews" page. It also
shows where the clothing inspirations came from. 1 surviving pair of
leather underwear and a corresponding mosaic from the isle of Scicily
that indicates some coloration for it. Also, a picture of the
surviving Lararium.
I hope you all enjoy it. They're my first recolors of each type of
item (skin, clothes, eyes) so let me know if there are any issues, or
anything you'd like to see. ALL the items SHOULD be base-game
compliant, but please let me know if you have issues with them!
Just a note to say HELLO!! Im brand new to this group and wanted to let
yall know!!
Thanks for such an awesome sight.. you have as they say.. Completed
me.. LOL.
Take care all, Raynie =)
Okay everyone, I've uploaded a new floor with preview pic.
"Spiral Pinwheel" is a geometric, rainbow colored rondel style mosaic.
You'll find it under TILE, and each piece is $1. All 3 tile repeats
are available.
Also, I've deleted all the walls, floors and preview pics from the
January uploads.
Salve!
Well all, it's been awhile since I updated. I was taking a bit of a
forced, but voluntary hiatus from posting. Due to some serious
technology issues, I was unable to upload anything, then I got a bit
burnt-out on creating Sims2 items and chose to play Civ City Rome and
Caesar IV for a little while. . . But, I'm back online, and back to
uploading again.
I've submitted an item to MTS2, and I've uploaded a new wall here.
It's a carbonized wood and stone wall taken from one of the photos on
my trip to Herculaneum. As always, it will cost only $1 per piece. I
hope you enjoy it.
I'm working on recoloring clothes, but have so far been unhappy with
my results ... But I am trying to branch out and get more Roman items
for your Sims and yourselves to enjoy.
Thanks for bearing with me, and I hope to make this summer a very
Roman one.
Okay group, I'm going offline. For the last 4+ months I've dealt with
a modem that Telecom Italia refuses to fix or replace and they've now
started telling me there are no issues with my line or the modem (even
though they can barely hear me due to static and general crappyness of
their phone line). As such, I'm tired of fighting for hours every day
to get less and less time (now less than 5 minutes connectivity)
without problems.
I'm disconnecting everything and putting it in it's box to hopefully
hurl at them when hubby gets home. Until then, I'll be unable to
upload anything new. I will make some new items, so there will
hopefully be loads of new goodies when I can finally get all this junk
worked out. But, I'm all out of energy to deal with the migraines,
the lies, the refusals to help - I'm tapped out on this end.
So, just wanted to let ya'll know I won't be closing down for good,
just until I can get the help that the Italians refuse to provide me
with. May be awhile - hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for
stickin' it out with me ... We'll be back better I hope.
Okay, uploaded 3 new files. I've also deleted all the files, and
preview pics, uploaded before 2007.
2 wall hangings, should be base-game compliant as they're recolors of
the "Lady on Red" mesh by Maxis. 1 is of Hercules, 1 is of Minerva.
Both are actually found in the ruins of ancient Herculaneum.
Uploaded a set of floors, 5Square. It's a psuedo-mosaic found in the
ruins of the Suburban Baths at Pompeii. All of them cost $1 per
piece, and are found under stone.
Hi everyone!
I know you've all waited extremely patiently for me to upload new
items. I appreciate it, very much. And now, your wait is over!
There's a new wall set (Casa Ara Massima) up, along with 4 preview
pictures.
All the walls are inspired by ones found in the Casa Ara Massima of
Pompeii. They're all "PAINT" and will cost you my standard $1 per panel.
I'll upload more creations soon. Also, don't hesitate to ask if you
have some far-flung Roman Empire corner you want me to recreate
(within my skill abilities, of course).
Thanks for stickin' it out with me. Enjoy the new walls, more to come!
Woo! Sorry for the long delay in uploads, but just got back from a
family trip (cut too short I'm afraid), to Pompeii and Herculaneum. I
got to see the Villa of the Papyri at Herculaneum, along with the
Suburban Baths, House of Ara Massima, and House of Amorini Dorati in
Pompeii so I'll have loads more walls and floors up ASAP. Also, got
some new brothel pics so I'll start working on those too.
I just wanted to give a great big THANKS to all my group members, and
I'll reward you for your patience, I promise. :)
Okay, I've finally got some files uploaded. Due to family vacation
time, I'm really lacking in the time to create department, but I will
have tons more stuff after the vacation is over. Hopefully many
lovely things from Pompeii, Herculaneum, Boscoreale, Oplontis and Stabia.
Thanks to all the group members for bearing with me. I promise I'll
make it worth your while within the next month! :)

I've uploaded 2 new files - 1 floor, 1 wall. I'm currently working on
some new wall hangings so those should be up soon.
"White Blades" is a STONE mosaic, all 3 repeats available, of white,
maroon and black colors. $1 per piece, as always.
"Andromeda" is a single panel mural. The preview shot is a bit
scrunched up looking but it does look better in the game. It's found
under PAINT and costs $1 as well.
I've done some file clean-up. Nothing from before Dec 2006 any
longer. I also deleted several preview pictures. My appologies,
there were several there than didn't have coresponding files to
download. Hopefully that's fixed now.
As always, if there are requests for certain items, I'm happy to take
them into consideration. So far, recoloring true objects has escaped
me but I'm still trying. If you do have a request, please supply a
link to a site with a picture or upload one to the "Requests" folder.
Thanks! Rhianna
Hopefully I've fixed my DSL issues. Time shall tell.
I've uploaded 3 new files - 2 floors and 1 wall. "Stabian Stucco" is
a Roman stucco wall found in the ruins of the Stabian Baths at
Pompeii. It's a bit grey in color but has some nice swirl and floral
accents.
"Pinwheel" is a multi-colored flooring in the shape of a classic
child's pinwheel. "Clubs R Wild" is a black and white mosaic that's
very cury and feminine - to me atleast.
I'll upload more files in a few days.
Well, I'm not sure how long my DSL will be working with me so I'm
going to use it for all it's worth.
I've uploaded a new floor set and a new wall set as well. There will
be more coming - though I need to take some more preview shots.
As my connection is tenative at best, I'm leaving my older files up
for the time being. As always, if there's a request
I need to offer blood sacrifice to the ancient gods it seems. My DSL
connection has been compromised due to electricity loss. As such, even
though I have quite a bit to upload, I'm stuck at our base library and
there's no uploading anything from here.
If anyone would like to offer up any prayers to the deity (or ies) of
your choice I'd appreciate it. These deployment gremlins are wearin'
me out. I will be back online and uploading just as soon as Telecom
Italia is able to get me that way.
This is just to let all my group members know that the Lupanar, the
thing I've been slamming my head silly about for the last several
weeks, has been uploaded and published via SexySims (MTS2's adult
site). You can access it via:
http://www.sexysims2.com/showthread.php?t=167757
Please note, you have to be a registered member to use the downloads
but it uses the same info as MTS2. Also, anyone under 18 who'd like
the lot, let me know. I'll upload a non graffitoed and muraled
version to MTS2 if there is a request for it (or over here, whichever).
Enjoy! :D
There's some new stuff up. Floors, walls and some wall hangings to boot.
As I said in my last update I'm in the process of making a lot. As
it's adult in nature, I think I may make a "sanitized" version as
well. To fit both those who can and can't access the adult Sims2
sites. It's coming along slowly, fits and starts, but I'll get there.
I'm trying to make it as realistic as possible, given my meagre Sims2
skills (and the fact I've never done a real recolor before). I'll
keep the group updated on how it's going in the future.
Now, on to the new uploads. There's 2 new floors - "Empty Promises"
and "Clamshell Swirl". 1 is Stone, 1 is Tile. All 3 tile repeats on
both, each costs $1.
"False Door" is the wall I've uploaded. Taken from Boscoreale, it's a
common Roman trick of making a space appear larger. Found under
Paint, it's a single panel, costs $1 as well.
**To have the Mars & Venus recolors appear in your game you MUST have
Qortex's mesh - "Big Painting" installed in your game. Get it here:
http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=45647 The mesh is base
game compliant, and the recolors should be as well.**
I think that's it for this update. There will be more next week (at
which time I'll delete last year's content, so get it now if you
haven't yet).
Okay, I've uploaded 3 new files. 1 each for wall hangings, walls and
floors. The wall hanging is a Lararium painting from the
Herculaneum/Pompeii/Oplontis area. The wall is a set (2 files total)
found under "Stone" that is the god Dionysus (Baccus) and a plain
blending wall. The floor is a set (9 files total) of each tile
repeat, + 2 coordinating tile views. A preview image of each has been
uploaded as well.
I'm currently building a lot, which when uploaded I'll link to (via
SexySims). It may be a bit in the making as I'm getting it as
complete and correct as possible.
If there is an "old" download you'd like to see re-uploaded let me
know. I'm happy to rotate through previous downloads in addition to
new items.
Uploaded a new set of 2 recolors. They're for the Maxis mesh "Two
Dogs & an Olive" so you'll need Nightlife for them to show up in the game.
They're two different villa/country house murals found in the region
of Pompeii. They're packaged together, photo previews are up as well.
Just some file maintaining today. I deleted all files (minus Patul's
houses) from before October. I've also removed their preview
pictures. That should leave pleanty of room for new files.
If anyone in the group would like to upload files, please feel free.
I enjoy seeing how stuff I've enjoyed making gets used in other
players' games. Patul has done some fantastic work! :D
In future if group members would like to link to their sites or other
groups, please use the Links subheading. I have no issue with sending
a post message that you've added a new link, but please do not include
your link. Thanks!

I wanted to thank all my group members for being so understanding on
the computer issues front. I've got 3 new floors up (with preview
pictures) and will start updating regularly again next week. I hope
you all have a fantastic holiday season. Thanks again for stickin' it
out with me on the technology front. I hope we have a Pax hominibus
bonae voluntatis next year.
