SILVER KINGDOM RENAISSANCE FAIR UNVEILS FIRST WAVE OF VENDORS, ENTERTAINERS, AND TOURNAMENTS
Charlton, MA – May 13, 2009 - 2009 Silver Kingdom Renaissance Festival, presented by End of Seasons Live Action Roleplaying Game features two weekends of family friendly renaissance and fantasy fun.
End of Seasons invites you to experience a world of fantasy and imagination where daring swordsman traverse the land fighting off monsters and near-do-wells, and fair maidens peruse the market for exotic wares from far off lands. The Silver Kingdom Renaissance Festival offers an environment rich with entertainment and merchandise to satisfy your medieval cravings. Our entertainment ranges from the amusing and bawdy, to the poetic and instrumental.
This event has activities and excitement that will appeal to all ages. Come be part of the adventure! (Families are welcome. Costumes applauded. No pets please.)

Boffer Tourney
Welcome warriors! The year of 2009 will bring our Traditional Boffer Tourney back for its 4th season. Think you are the best at single sword fighting? Or perhaps you are the master of sword and shield? Perchance Pole-Arm and Great Sword? Or even, two-weapons at once?
Each day of the Ren Faire we will run one of these styles.
June 6: Pole-Arm/Great Sword
June 7: Florentine Fighting
June 13: One Sword
June 14: Sword and Shield
Entry in the Tourney is $7, with the winner in each receiving a weapon from Dark Dreams Weapon Creations, as well as prizes from EndofSeasons.com.
We also will be trying something different this year, with a 3 on 3 multi-style honor system combat. This exhibition tourney is $20 for participation per team. Victors get bragging rights as well as an embroidered cloth weapon from Dark Dreams, with the year and tourney name.
Weapons:
Latex weapons are not allowed due to the high degree of variances between makes. Some weapons will be available for use.
Shield Construction
Shields come in many designs: Round, heater, oval, rectangle, and triangle to name just a few.
Overall area may not exceed 452 square inches, and the longest dimension may not exceed 30".
All size limitations include the foam edging required on all design types.
