Re: [Shazrad] here's the deal...
Oh dear. I was stunned when I read this email, but I understand where
you're coming from. I'm attending college now and even though I'm still a
freshman, I'm already experiencing the busy-ness that college life is all
about. I confess that I'm at a loss for words in regard to this news.
In regard to Shazrad's future, here are my opinions:
If I were in your shoes, I would retire the RPG. Even if someone took over
the game, it will not be the same or move in the same direction as it would
if you were still at the helm. It's not only Shazrad that's unique, it's
both of you. You have your own special style of writing, and the story
behind the game is YOURS. Even if you passed the storyline to someone else,
they will handle it differently -- possibly not in the way that we're used
to.
Yeah, I've only been here a short time and I don't know all the workings
behind the RPG, but I've really grown attached to the way it's now being
done. And to be perfectly honest, I don't quite wish to know what Shazrad
will be without Yoon and Alioqui, and I don't know if I'll love Shazrad as
much as I am loving it, if you weren't around. Who knows -- I might come to
enjoy it just as much and pledge my 'complete loyalty' to a new GM, but
knowing myself, it would be a big adjustment for me. That's why I make the
suggestion to retire Shazrad.
But that it what *I* would do if I were in your position. No matter what
decision you make, I'll stick to Shazrad as long as it's alive.
Yours most sincerely,
~~ Vega
