Resolution regarding current and future situation on the People's
Republic of Kantu and the Republic of Kantu
Drafted by the Democratic Nation of Sunamia delegation to the SCUN
general assembly.
1) The general assembly of the Scandian United Nations hereby votes
on measures to stabilize the two countries (PRK and RK).
Measures should be taken so that civilians are protected and so that
the two countries can be stablized and later on developed.
2) Measures that the this resolution prefers and imposes are a
Scandian United Nations controlled peace-keeping force to be
established and a border to be drawn between the two countries. The
border should be controlled by the SCUN attached peace-keeping
force. The peace-keeping force will hereby be refered to as "the
force" in most cases in this resolution.
3) The force should consist of troops from member countries, it
should report to the general assembly and their mission is to
safeguard the border between the two countries, stop the fighting
and safeguard civilian life in connection with the fighting going on.
4) The peace-keeping force should be inserted either if invited to
the region or by force.
5) The peace-keeping force has no limitations in weaponry to be used
within international standards and rules.
6) The force has the right to open fire on hostile troops from both
countries firing at them or behaving in a manner that can be
regarded as a threat.
7) The force has the right to open fire on militias or private
troops firing at them or behaving in a manner that can be regarded
as a threat.
8) The force has the right to defend themselves against any threat
that might emerge against them.
9) The inserted SCUN force should try to open a dialouge with the
fighting parties. However a dialouge can be abandonded if the
parties show no interest in it.
