[Richard Munio, Secretary General of the SCUN, announces to the
assembled delegates.]

Honored Ambassadors, I have registered resolution 19124 as presented
by Ambassador Arenas on behalf of the Austral Confederation. The
text of this resolution has been provided for each of the member
states. As you may be aware, Australis is concerned about the
mounting tensions in the former Larentia and CRV regions. I should
now like to open up the floor for discussion on this matter.

[The text of the resolution follows.]

WHEREAS, TKORF forces have commenced a war of aggression against the
Tavat Union and Larentia, and have done so without submission of any
evidence as to justification for such actions, they have hence
disrupted the peace of Scandia and its citizens.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT

I. The Scandian United Nations fully condemns the TKORF for its
aggressive actions, and hereby demands that TKORF forces cease and
desist their activities against the Tavat Union and Larentia within
48 hours of passage of this resolution.

II. The Scandian United Nations hereby authorises the creation of an
international force, led by the Austral Confederation, to liberate
the Tavat Union and Larentia from TKORF forces if said forces do not
cease and desist from aggressive actions within 48 hours of passage
of this resolution.

III. The Scandian United Nations hereby authorises the
aforementioned international force the discretion to enter those
areas of the former Itza controlled by TKORF forces with the
intention of neutralising the threat of TKORF forces to the peace
and stability of Scandia.

IV. The Scandian United Nations hereby recognises North Itza as a
special authonomous region of Itza under the protection of the
Austral Confederation and SCUN until the peaceful resolution of
conflict within the former Itza.

V. The Scandian United Nations hereby accepts the appointment of a
special observer from North Itza to the General Assembly.

VI. The Scandian United Nations hereby authorises the international
force to establish an interim authority in areas of the former
Larenia and CRV currently under TKORF control.

VII. The Scandian United Nations duly requests that Aztlan, the Siou
Republic, Tavat Union, Darussalem, Pochata Plains Nation, and
unincorporated regions of the former CRV allow the SCUN
multinational force overflight and basing rights for the duration of
possible hostilities between the SCUN and TKORF.

VIII. The Scandian United Nations duly authorises the international
force to establish command headquarters at Admiral Isle in North
Itza and Colline de Chappelle in Australis (Altamons) to co-ordinate
operations.
