((Bridge, Outside Captains Ready Room))

::As the trio left the Ready Room, Cruise turned to face the Engineers.::

Cruise: I have a few things to attend to, if it's possible let's get together
around 1400hrs in my office and we can go over the preliminaries.

::Kael still had a few projects in Engineering he would to get at least close to
finished. And he still needed to catch up with the Captain at some stage. 1400
Hours should be enough time to do that.::

Thomas: Shouldn't be a problem. Trolin and I have some work in Engineering
Anyhow.

Trolin: Aye sir we still need to finish up on that joint.

:: Allen turned back as the trio moved towards the turbolift, suddenly the doors
parted and with a hurried rush the Counselor sprinted from the turbolift nearly
piling head-on into the Kael and the others. Quite impressively she spun from
the collision but unavoidably found herself pasted against the wall. A Security
Officer who himself was stunned by the disturbance was about to grab the
counselor until Allen stepped between them with his palm facing the Sentry. ::

Goodhart: Oh!

Cruise: Stand down, everything's under control.

Sentry: Yes sir.

:: Allen turned back as Kael and Keval spoke with the Caitian Counselor. ::

Thomas: Counsellor are you alright?

Goodhart: I... I am alrright. ::Laughing at herself:: It iss not often you ssee
a cat trrip, iss it, ssirrss?

Cruise: AHHCHOO… Oh Geez, Hey I'm sorry Kat I was just headed to see the Doc.
AHHCHOO! I've gotta run, see ya!

Goodhart: I, uhm, would like to sspeak to Lieutenant Trrolin forr a ssecond,
ssirrss. If I am not interrrrupting anything, of courrsse.

::She looked at each man individually, and waited patiently for Trolin's
reply.::

Trolin: I would assume this has something to do with... as long as it is alright
with Thomas.

Thomas: I don't have a problem with it. Just don't be long. We have lots of
work to do.

Trolin: I'll be there as soon as possible

::Kael then left the two alone and headed to Engineering himself. ::

((Main Engineering, Deck 15))

::Kael was overseeing the Injector Manifold diagnostic. It was a job he never
really felt he could trust to many others. If they weren't aligned properly the
whole warp reaction became a problem. And they had had enough warp problems
already. ::

::Noticing Trolin and the Chief standing around speaking, Kael decided to
interrupt.::

Thomas: Excuse me you two. Care to do some work today?

Granger/Trolin: Response

Thomas: Well I need this injector manifold assembly calibrated and I need you to
fix that coolant patch trolin.

Granger/Trolin: Response

Thomas: Good, cause we're not going home until we are.

::Resuming his work ahead of him, Kael ignored the surrounds in Engineering. He
simply assumed Trolin was busy getting his material ready for the patch, and
when he was ready Kael would show him how to fix it. ::

::A good few minutes must have passed, and Kael looked up to search for Trolin.
Kael couldn't see him anywhere.::

oO Where is he now? Oo

Thomas: =/\= Thomas to Lieutenant Trolin =/\=

Trolin: =/\= Response =/\=

Thomas: =/\= Lieutenant. Where exactly are you? =/\=

Trolin: =/\= Response =/\=

::Now definitely annoyed. Trolin had only just survived his last display of
ignoring an order, and now he's running around the ship doing something other
than what he was asked to do.::

Thomas: =/\= I don't know how you were taught in the Academy Lieutenant but
unless you want to stay a Lieutenant I suggest you get back here, and finish
what you Chief has asked you to do. =/\=

Trolin: =/\= Response =/\=

Thomas: =/\= 5 Minutes. Then I'm calling security to bring you back. =/\=

::Kael's frustration clearly showing, the Engineerings working besides Kael
chose to avoid any pointed eye contact, and fruitless discussion. They knew
when to avoid harassing the chief, even if Trolin didn't. ::
