((Counselor's office))
::Out in the office foyer Yeoman Tyrell called out.::
Yeoman Tyrell:Commanding Officer On Deck! :: Ben fought down the urge to react...either to look for the CO...who he knew rationally was him...or to yell at the security officer for the announcement. ::
::T'Lar exited Llewelyn's office, giving the greeting of the Day to Walker:: T'Lar:Good afternoon, Sir. I am Ensign T'Lar, Lt. Llewelyn's chief of staff, may I be of some assistance? Walker: Yes, I'm looking for Lieutenant Llewelyn. T'Lar: ::Looked oddly uncomfortable:: Ah, yes, the Lieutenant is...in the head, Sir. I'm afraid he's not feeling well. I was just checking on him. Allow me to inform him of your arrival. ::T'Lar dissapeared into Llewleyn's office again and re-emerged seconds later.:: T'Lar: He will be along presently,Sir. May I get you some coffee while you wait? Walker: Kindly offered, but no thank you. ::As promised, Llewelyn exited his office promptly, his face looking freshly washed.: : Llewelyn: Commander, there is good to see you Sir. Do please come in... :: Ben followed the Lieutenant into his "den". Noting abstractly the minor differences already apparent in the room. ::
Walker: I wanted to talk to you about a couple things privately. :: He paused, frowning slightly. :: I don't know how well you know me...and other than your record I don't know you well, which makes this at least slightly awkward. That being said...I noted a discrepency on the log of your transported items. Llewelyn:
Walker: That's true. However, certain items of Klingon, Romulan, or other specified races I have a...certain affinity, and watch specifically for them. Which is why your items raised a flag with me, and I wanted to know the reasoning of your decision not to spell out their capabilities.
Llewelyn:
Walker: I understand. :: Chuckling:: And I have to admit that I would be more than slightly hypocritical to hold you accountable knowing that I've used that theory myself. That's why I wished to speak to you privately.
Llewelyn:
Walker: Yes, the other thing. For this mission, we are going to have people on edge. That we also have them on edge with each other seems to nearly guarantee a disaster. While I can order people to work together, and hope that has some benefit...we need something more. So...any ideas?
