((USS Ronin - Holodeck 1))
((OOC: A quick backsim ;) ))
Wood: Cmdr Wilde when would you like to convene to discuss our mission task?
Wilde: As soon as possible. Those who need physicals from the CMO will do so then report to me at 1300 hours.
Wood/Kolk/Trell: <Response?>
((Timewarp - Counsellors Office))
Wilde: How well do you know her?
Llewelyn: Aside from buying a beer from her at the party the other night there is to not knowing her I am, is it? While I like to think that my governing style at the ROP was amiable enough, there is to understand that over 10,000 people made their homes there. Aware they were on board I was, but by the time the handover of the facility to Starfleet took place, there is gone they were I believe, and never to hob nob with them was I.
Wilde: I will handle it myself, with the counsel of the CO. I need to understand certain things...
Llewelyn: Helping people to understand things is in my job description, Commander. Fire at will...
::Danny leaned across the desk. He spoke slowly.::
Wilde: This is very serious, Lieutenant. I cannot believe that technology like this was used against Federation vessels by no more than terrorists hell bent on revenge. I am compelled to believe that in this very area of space there are people who are 'in the know' of these activities, including members of this crew.
Llewelyn:Now there is to have no knowledge of that I am. A mite young, these be, to have been in the Maquis, is it? But the remote reaches of this part of space, out of the way they are. It doesn't surprise me that a Maquis fugitive would have gravitated to such a place. Judging by her age though, I'd say our miss Vicky would have been in her mid teens when she was a guerilla. Most likely she acquired her expertise from a family member already involved with the Maquis. There is something to consider when assigning guilt, Commander. Unless you want to charge a minor as an adult, is it? there is hard pressed you'll be to make a case against her that will stick. Even so, there isn't a defense lawyer in the quadrent who wouldn't jump at the opportunity to defend her as a poor traumatized victim of Cardassian aggression and Federation indifference.
Wilde: Do you comprehend what will happen when this gets out? Never mind anyone who would put a price on your head, the Federation will throw the book at you!
Llewelyn: While I appreciate that, Commander, the fact is I had nothing to do with any transfer of technology to the Maquis, nor did I at any time directly or indirectly aid or abet them in their efforts, unless you count raising a pint to their efforts now and again in the local pub. One man's terrorist is after all another man's freedom fighter, is it? But that was before I knew what I've shared with you today. By the time I turned over the keys to the ROP I had no knowledge of the fugitive's whereabouts, nor any of their names. They were ghosts, you understand? The decision to shelter them was an ORC governmental decision, not a unilateral policy of Galatia Prime. When Galatia Prime seceeded from the ORC they left behind any connection to such policies. My home planet cannot be blamed for this.
Wilde: I will need to speak to Commander Walker. In the meantime, do not discuss this matter with anyone else. Is that understood? Is there anything else?
Llewelyn:I didn't even want to tell you, is it? As for anything else, no I don't think so, sir.
::With a curt nod, Danny left.::
((Timewarp - Bridge))
::Danny stepped off the turbolift onto the bridge and proceeded to his chair next to the Captain.::
Walker: <Response>
Wilde: We may have a problem.
Walker: <Response>
Wilde: Not with the mission. About some disturbing information I've just heard from our new Counselor.
Walker: <Response>
Wilde: I'll have to inform SFI of this. Perhaps to get LtCmdr West to assess the situation.
Walker: <Response>
