Wood: Ok then if we're done, you're dismissed and I look forward to
working with you all. Cmdr! Lt's. Kolk, Trell, may I have a moment of
your time?
::Daniel walked towards the two officers, who he hoped to begin to
have close ties with.::
Kolk: Sure.
Wood: I'm not sure if you are aware but yesterday was a proud
tradition on Earth called Armistice Day where everyone got together
and celebrated the lives of those lost in war time. I was just
wondering what you thought of maybe building a memorial to the
Ronin's fallen, maybe in the Arboretum or something?
Wilde: We were planning on holding something similar recently. We've
lost a lot of people this year and I believe Lt. Ehlanii was in the
midst of planning something along those lines.
Wood: Excellent, perhaps we should all convene once this mission is
over and talk in detail about it, and all ponder on our thoughts of
where it should be, how it should look, etc...
Kolk: I'd certainly be up for a chat like that.
Trell: I'd be willing to give some input too .
Wilde: I liked your style, Lieutenant. It seems we have a bit in
common. I too was CoS of the Independence and this ship not so long
ago. Do you go by Daniel, or are you a Danny at heart, too?
Wood: Glad you liked it, Sir; must admit I was a little nervous at
first. I'm a big believer in first impressions and all. In regards to
names usually it's Danny, but since there's two of us aboard, it
would make sense for me to go by Dan or Daniel, I have no preference,
I wouldn't want to be mistook for the First Officer just
yet. ::Chucking.:
Wilde: ::chuckling:
security staff. That's partly to do with the fact that we lost many
good people recently, and without them we would struggle.
Wood: Might I suggest something else there then Sir, I believe we
could be over crowded, what about bringing my Rapid Response Team
aboard, Starfleet's thinking of putting us onto ships together rather
than separate, it appears its more tactical that way? Its less space,
less hassle and more skill?
Kolk: Bring them aboard? I though you said we had too many already?
Wilde: ((response))
Wood: Well, you all know that they proved invaluable in the Delta
Quadrant and have also been invaluable aboard the Enterprise. Since
the Atlantis' mothballing from the fleet, the Ithassa region hasn't
got a Hazard Team, and what better place to have one then an Akira
class vessel, I mean that's what we do, right? We¡¦re always in the
front lines?
Kolk: Forgive me if I'm speaking beyond my purvue, but this seems
more of an internal Security matter. I'm all for a special Hazard
Team aboard, especially in light of the likeliness of more encounters
with the boarding-happy Grendellai, but either way, wouldn't it be a
strictly Security sub-team? Maybe something for your Assistant Chief
to oversee?
Trell: That would make the most sense to me.
Wilde: ((response))
Wood: ::Looking at Lt. Kolk.:: I cant give up a command Lt. Alpha
squad is mine and I worked hard to achieve it, the 501st isn¡¦t a
particularly big task group, but maybe we could introduce a Delta
Squad into the task force and bring two small teams aboard, but at
least speak about it with the Cmdr?
Wilde: ((response))
Wood: If you'll excuse me a minute.
Trell: Of course.

::Breya watched as Wood. left the group for a minute, walking over to his new ACoS,
and spoke for a moment, and then returned to the small group.::
Kolk: I don't know who I'd suggest to oversee the department. I've
only just had the idea since the end of Wood's presentation.
Trell: Oh? And what is that?

Terrance: Lt. Wood you have an incoming message from Starfleet
Security.
Wood: Patch it through to the holodeck computer. ::Looking at the
group.::: If you¡¦ll excuse me a minute.
::Breya waited while Wood took the message. She was getting slightly frustrated with all of his distractions.::
