((Imperial Romulan Ship T'liss))

Tei: Captain?

::The older Romulan waved off his first officer's worried look as he
stood slowly. Years of conflict had made his body older than his age;
maybe that was why he was thinking about this.::

Radaik: I'm taking the cloaked shuttle for a spin, Tei. You have the con.

Tei: But, Captain...

::The Captain looked out of the corner of his eye at the ops officer,
his prime suspect for being the Tal'Shiar plant on his bridge.::

Radaik: I'll be careful... just a short test run. We can test out our
own sensors on it. If we can't detect it in this dreck, then there's
no one who'll be able to see it in open space. Lieutenant Llweii, come
pilot for me.

::Tei, in on the plan, nodded as the young woman stood and joined the
Captain.::

Tei: Let us know when you're ready to start the test.

((Outside the Ronin))

Flight Ops: =/\= Psych, Ops. You're clear to land in bay 2 aft. =/\=

Pysch: =/\= Ops, Pysch. Bay two aft, roger. See you on the deck. =/\=

::The line dropped as the human pilot focused on the line into the
Ronin's hanger bay. The normal approach involved approaching from
behind and below, then coming up in between the nacelles and slipping
through the bay forcefields to a nice smooth landing. The young man,
Bobby Bustillos, came from the southwestern portion of North America
was known for his spicy food tastes and fiery temper. He flipped the
com frequency to on-board, the line between him and his tactical
officer, sitting behind and slightly above him.::

Psych: =/\= Hey Cit, hold on to your seat.

::In addition to the spicy foods he had a reputation for,
occasionally, he did something like this. Kirsten Matterly, his tac
officer of 3 years, knew what was coming.::

Cit: =/\= Pysch, don't you da---aaoomph!!

::The thrust of the Maul slammed her back into the seat as she leaned
forward, driving the breath out of her in a whoosh. He was going to
accelerate to full speed and slam into hanger, braking just before
landing. This was dangerous and in fact outlawed for a number of
reason. It posed huge issues for any other shuttles in the pattern; at
speed, the Maul, while maneuverable, would have issues dodging slower
traffic. It also posed the real risk of exposing the hanger deck to
fighter boosts with all the heat and toxins that came with them.::

::The Maul came screaming around the aft of the Akira-class cruiser,
with an intention to drop below one of the secondary hulls, then into
the hanger bay. All of a sudden, the fighter's impact warning alarm
went crazy, screaming and flashing the lights red all over the cockpit.::

Pysch: What the...

::The pilot threw the stick hard to port, away from the ship, not
knowing what they were about to hit, but trying to avoid it
nonetheless. The tac officer's hand immediately went for the shields,
but a sickening crunch and the screaming of metal interrupted as the
fighter careened away from the Ronin. The Maul, rolling, looked like
someone had kicked in the side of it, nearly shearing a wing off and
exposing the passenger compartment to the vacuum. Fortunately for the
two officers aboard, the cockpit was a separate compartment and,
though damaged itself, was still airtight.::

::The pilot was cursing a blue streak and he fought the stick in front
of him.::

Pysch: What the frack did we hit!?! There's nothing there!

Cit: =/\= Mayday mayday mayday! Ronin, Blue 3, apparent collision with
unknown object; we have no control, engines out, repeat mayday, we are
out of control!

Anyone: =/\= response...
