further observations I have made until now.

ESKYYS: What did you find out?

VALDIVIA: Well, I have discovered the laser sword is not actually a laser sword.
It is a trianium radiation beam, launched and then attracted back to the hilt.
This also indicates, as I after that confirmed, that the sword has not a power
cell, but a micro-generator, inside it. Which shows their abilities to work with
fusion energy go far beyond ours, with an average effectively of about the 98%
on the sword.

VALDIVIA: Well, I understand Lt.Cmdr Vannini was working on protecting against
these swords, so I sent him this information.

LEONA: response

VALDIVIA: Yes, Doctor. I have some ideas about how to stop them, but I haven't
have time to test them.

LEONA: response

VALDIVIA: As you wish. These blades repel each other due to the attraction field
that forms them. Theoretically, a similar magnetic field should be able to repel
them, too. A magnetised metallic weapon. But the field would not hold longer,
maybe four or five strikes. However, I can't test it without a blade, so I'll
keep studying the Saurian ship. But I think it is worth testing as soon as we
have an opportunity.

McCALL: Commander, Marine deployment is complete. All decks are currently
secure. Reserves are currently in place but if we are required to evac the
colony only Marines will be left to defend key areas of the ship.

ESKYYS: I know, don't like it, but.. :: He let the word trail off. ::

McCALL: I take it we don't know how the talks are going on the planets surface
at the moment?

ESKYYS: Not at all.

McCALL: Not suggesting that we should have bugged the ambassador or any members
of the away team but it would be nice to know what is going on down there. If
things go badly the first sign we are going to see up here is that ship opening
fire on us.
