:: As the Marine training continued McCall had only spend a small amount of
time with his platoon while participating the training. His overall concern was
with the information that Intel had provided. While most of it was speculation,
if it was true then they would be in trouble. McCall looked up to his body
armour and phaser rifle which currently laid on his desk.::

oO Guess I will be needing them again shortly... Oo

:: As McCall continued to look over the data Red Alert sounded. He wasted no
time on putting on his armour and picking up his phaser rifle. After tapping a
series of keys on his computer did he see the reason for the red alert. On his
computer screen appeared a large Guarian ship. McCall wasted no further time he
heading out into the Marine barracks. The Marines were already beginning to
assemble and were falling into the standard parade ground block formations.
Those that were in the training holodecks took a little while to appear but
within three minutes the entire Marine force had assembled.::

WALTAS: =/\= Waltas to McCall. =/\=

McCALL: =/\= McCall, go ahead sir. =/\=

WALTAS: =/\= Ambassador Ginsberg and I will be meeting with the
Saurian..."Emperor" . I need two of your best to accompany us. Also we'll be
sending the Romulan scout down to the colony cloaked to survey. We could arrange
insert a squad of Marines at that time as well. =/\=

McCALL: =/\= Understood, will arrange for their deployment ASAP. =/\=

:: The comm channel closed and McCall looked towards his Marines. Choices for
the tasks were not straight forward as a number of names sprang to mind for each
of the tasks.::

McCALL: Major Epsilon, 2nd Lieutenant Jansen, report to Transporter room #1,
you are the Captain and Ambassador's escort.

EPSILON: reply

JANSEN: Aye ayr sir.

:: McCall watched them leave before looked around the barracks, he had a choice
of two people to send in charge of the squad to the colony.::

McCALL: Major Quay, you will be in charge of the squad going to the colony.
Take yourself and any other eleven Marines and report to the Romulan scout in
the shuttlebay.

QUAY: reply

McCALL: Good luck Major.

QUAY: reply

:: McCall wait for Quay to pick her eleven Marines and depart before
continuing.::

McCALL: Alright, the rest of us are to guard the ship. 1st Platoon, you have
decks 15 through to and including 10, 2nd platoon 9 through to and including
deck 4. 3rd platoon has decks 3,2,1 and the pod. Marine units switch to comm
frequency beta 2. Look to your Officers and NCO's for guidance. We have
trained long and hard for this, if they step foot on Discovery we will make them
pay for ever step they take. Move out to your defensive positions, stay sharp
and good luck.

:: McCall watched as the Marines headed out of the barracks, the defensive plan
of the ship had been designed some time earlier and training had taken place so
each marine knew where they were suppose to be. McCall's own fireteam had
actually been assigned to guard the Bridge. The Colonel joined his fireteam as
they began to move out towards the Bridge.::
