MORGAN: ::entering her office:: Hello Addie. How are you today?

ADDIE: Oh hello, Dr Morgan... ::fidgeting in her seat and shaking her legs
restlessly:: Raj said you wanted to see me... Are you going to take more of my
blood?

::Dr Morgan sat down in the chair beside Addie, smiling reassuringly to
alleviate the little girl's nervousness.::

MORGAN: No. No blood tests.

ADDIE: ::sighing in relief:: Oh good! I don't want to do anymore tests. I feel
fine. ::She smiled.::

MORGAN: ::turning to face the child and placing her hands on the girl's knees::
I know, you do. But Raj told me about your new gift.

ADDIE: Cmdr Eskyys taught me alot. He had these weird crystals. He told me to
practise. I was planning to later this evening, when Raj gets back.

MORGAN: That's a good idea. But still kinda scary eh?

ADDIE: ::wringing her hands together and coyly gazing down at her feet.:: I
guess... ::She shrugged and barely whispered.::

MORGAN: There's nothing wrong with admitting you're scared. ::She smiled
warmly.:: I'm empathic too and the first time I felt it, I was very scared. It
can be very overwhelming at times. So many emotions and not being able to tell
which were mine and which were everyone else around me.

ADDIE: ::now looking up with brightening eyes:: Yes, that's it, Dr Morgan. I
sense all kinds of emotions from all over and I can't quite control what I need
to sense and what I don't want to sense... Sometimes it feels like my head is
going to explode!

MORGAN: ::brushing a stray strand of hair from Addie's face:: Tell you what,
I'll do a couple of scans and then I'll give you something to help dull your
empathy until we can get it under control. Okay?

ADDIE: ::smiling:: Okay... But will it take long, Dr Morgan? I want to go play
with my new friends in the arboretum.

MORGAN: response

ADDIE: Thank you, Dr Morgan.
