[Sickbay, USS Discovery-B]

::After finishing with Blanton and Rockwell, Alex took a deep breath and ran
her fingers through her dark hair as she headed to her office. She bit her
lip when she saw the girl sitting in her office.::

oO Damn almost forgot! Oo

:: She also still needed to study up on Genuran physiology. The last thing
she needed was to have a sickbay full of people she didn't have the first
clue how to treat. ::

MORGAN: ::entering her office:: Hello Addie. How are you today?

ADDIE: Oh hello, Dr Morgan... ::fidgeting in her seat and shaking her legs
restlessly:: Raj said you wanted to see me... Are you going to take more of
my blood?

::She didn't have to be empathic to sense the girl's nervousness. Alex gave
her a warm, reassuring smile as she sat down in the chair beside her.::

MORGAN: No. No blood tests.

ADDIE: ::sighing in relief:: Oh good! I don't want to do anymore tests. I
feel fine. ::She smiled.::

MORGAN: ::facing the child, she placed her hands on the girl's knees:: I
know, you do. But Raj told me about your new gift.

ADDIE: Cmdr Eskyys taught me alot. He had these weird crystals. He told me
to practise. I was planning to later this evening, when Raj gets back.

MORGAN: That's a good idea. But still kinda scary eh?

ADDIE: response

MORGAN: There's nothing wrong with admitting you're scared. ::smiling:: I'm
empathic too and the first time I felt it, I was very scared. It can be very
overwhelming at times. So many emotions and not being able to tell which
were mine and which were everyone else around me.

ADDIE: response

MORGAN: ::reaching up to gently brush a strand of hair from Addie's face::
Tell you what, I'll do a couple of scans and then I'll give you something to
help dull your empathy until we can get it under control. Okay?
