(OOC: I’m sorry, so sorry. The fact that Dr. Reid is not in the meeting yet is my fault, my big fault. I was not paying attention and thought this is a sim sent to group only now realized it was sent to me to fill it and send as JP. Now it’s coming as two-parter since I added to the story which was already long. Again I’m sorry.)
((USS Challenger-A: Mediplex, Edgar's Room))
:: After returned from breakfast with lot of interesting people, Edgar went to bathroom and took his shirt off not to dip it while washed his teeth, his armpits, his neck, cleaned nails and brushed his hair as Ecaterina asked him to do after breakfast and before going to school. When put his shirt on again and exited bathroom nurse Bothenet was waiting for him. ::
::Debra Bothenet walked into Edgar Mosley's room in time to see Edgar come out of the bathroom, where he had just brushed his teeth. The idea behind the brushing of the teeth was Edgar attempting to remove any final particles of food he had recently finished his breakfast.
Reid had been called to another meeting in his offi9ce. This was supposed to be Reid's off, but like any other typical day, Reid had been anything but off. When the meeting had ended Dr. Reid had been summoned by the Captain to a meeting in his Ready Room. Despite all of the interruptions, Reid still wanted Edgar to have a great day, just hanging together. Now, it seemed to Debra that she would have to fulfill Reid's and Edgar's adventure for the day. Debra hoped that Reid would notice that she too, was going to fill in for him, just so Edgar could have the day. It was about to begin.. ::
Bothenet: Edgar, how is it going for you at the moment. oO This is not going to be easy. I'm not very good nurse maiding kids. Oo :: Thought Debra, quickly changing to another avenue of questioning.:: Edgar did you remember to brush your hair, after brushing your teeth?
Edgar: Yes, ma’am, and my armpits and nails and neck.
Debra: Good! ::she knew that it was not going to sit well with Edgar:: Dr. Reid has to go to a meeting with the Captain.
Edgar: I know, Jerry is important, he is taking care of the health of everyone on the ship and Captain sometimes want to know is everything happening as should and then he have to go and tell her. And that’s very important for her to know who can she count with, and only if I’m ill he can stay with me and not go to the meeting.
Debra: oO I'm impressed Oo thought Debra. ::She hadn't expected the answer Edgar had given her concerning the understanding that Dr. Reid's duties superseded everything except emergencies.:: That's right Edgar, Dr. Reid is a very busy person.
Edgar: I know... :: He said that quietly. ::
Debra: So Edgar, what do you want to do today? I had heard that you and Dr. Reid were going to go fishing.
Edgar: Yes, ma’am.
Debra: I bet you didn't know that I too, am a good fisher....eh person?
Edgar: Really? :: No he didn’t expect her to be and didn’t believed it! ::
Debra: I had no choice since I grew up in a home of all boys. I did my share of guy things with my Dad, and sometimes did it even better than my brothers.
Edgar: Really? :: He stopped remembering something Jerry said. :: Yes girls are better with strict, precise things and some of the preparations are like that. :: Repeating doctor’s words he said that as an expert who knows things with lot of pride. ::
Debra: Well, let's get going Edgar, those fish are not going to catch themselves.
Edgar: I’m right behind you, Nurse Bothenet.
:: Edgar's attitude perked up, making him eager to go once more. He even bet Debra that he would catch the biggest fish. Matter of fact, he made the usual bet that he made with Reid every time they had gone fishing. Even though, it was only the second time::
Edgar: I bet you Nurse Bothenet, loser has to clean the fish today, and then prepare the meal over the campfire.
::Debra knew that in most societies, it was expected the woman of the household always prepared, and cooked the meal. This cooking idea somehow intrigued her, as she never had to cook since she joined Starfleet. Here, on the Challenger, she always had the officer's mess, or the replicator to cook her meals. Now Edgar just enforced the idea, except for one little detail, she didn't plan to lose. Edgar quickly grabbed Debra's hand, and together they left the Mediplex quickly, in an effort to beat the sunrise. ::
((In the mean time))
((USS Challenger-A: Captain’s Ready Room))
::Reid had walked into the Ready Room earlier than a few of the others. He went over to the replicator, and made himself cup of Vanilla Chai. Then, he went over to his usual seat, and sat down waiting for the others. Even, the Captain had stepped out for a short period to avert another small Murphy's Law ordeal. Reid watched the latecomers as they entered the Ready Room, and went immediately to their chairs. Soon after the last person hailed came in, and had sat down, someone brought everyone's attention to the Captain coming in as well. Someone yelled out, Captain in the Ready Room, and everyone stood up, and came to attention. Then, the
Captain said an "At ease", and everyone proceeded to sit down again. The Captain began the meeting...::
