((OOC-Don't mind at all J ))
((The Singing Swan, Public House))
:: The knock resounding in the quiet, empty house. Well, there was her
company. She wondered who it might be, though she suspected it might be
Taylor. He was a stubborn one, that man. However, upon opening the
door, she was surprised to see Clack. Her irritation at his presence
showed through before she could stop it. ::
Clack: May I come in Miss Hall. I see that you are expecting someone.
I won't be long.
:: She rallied and politely invited him inside. Although she wasn't
sure why. Maybe she was just tired. ::
Nadina: "Of course, come on in."
:: Stepping back to allow him to enter she saw his uniform was as caked
in mud as her own clothes had been earlier. She had to admit she was
pleased he had wiped his feet before entering. She shut the door and
led him into the kitchen. ::
Nadina: "Have a seat. Are you hungry?" :: Pointing to the
table and the plate with two sandwiches. :: "Help yourself."
::He took a seat at the table directly opposite her. Reaching out, he
took one of her sandwiches.::
Clack: Nice sandwich. Good to be eating real food again... not that
replicated stuff. :: smiling ::
Nadina: "There are advantages to keeping ones feet on the ground.
What brings you here? I am sure it was not for the small talk. You do
not strike me as a small talk kinda man." :: Taking a bite of her
own sandwich she chewed slowly while waiting for his answer. ::
Clack: You and I are of a kind, but in a different reality. Your
colony is extremely important to me. It must succeed no matter the
costs.
Nadina: "That so? Always seems to me you Fleeters just use places
like this to show off and prove your ability to get promoted and such.
We colonies are just stepping stones in your careers. I am sure you
understand my meaning."
Clack: I understand, but...
:: She raised a brow, watching him carefully. He paused, searched her
face, she almost blushed. Almost. ::
Clack : No one knows, not even the ones that I serve with, but my
descendent walks among you. This is beyond Starfleet or the government
of Wheeler and it is certainly not about you or me. This is about my
own child having a future. A child that I have killed for and I will
again to protect it.
Nadina: "Your…you have a child..here on Wheeler? How'd
that come to pass?" :: She was interested in hearing this story,
because she just could not see this man as the parent type. ::
