My plan involves using "Black Tentacles" to hold off the majority of the centipedes. Â Maybe also to use grasping hands to block key points (but I bet these things climb really well so it's not worth worrying about choke points too much).
The tentacles probably won't get all of them, but they'll get many. Â They have a +19 Grapple Check and they grapple everything that comes into their range. Â They slow down anything they don't successfully grapple (half speed).
John's plan involves killing them all without returning across the bridge...
The plans are not entirely incompatible but do have their problems :).
