i wrote up a mail about the diffrent issues i had with cpv3, and got a
reply. i had to ask for some extended info on some of the stuff but
atleast this came out in the clear (more or less):

- bracers only cover part of a limb.
- you can use your hand while wearing a gauntlet (alltho im not 100%
sure what he is trying to say with upper and lower hand areas).
- mindcores cost 20 NCD (sound cheap for a computer of that size).
- the parts cost for the diffrent altcult tech will be covered in future
books (however, no comment about when those would show up).

Could you please paste the exact phrase ? Maybe we can help you to
understand ? :)

"> is the gauntlet a special kind of bracer, for the hand? or is it
something that you put on top of a normal bracer?

It's a glove that covers only the upper hand. It can link to a bracer,
but doesn't replace it.

the use if that hand until the weapon is removed?

No. The lower hand is free to act--the gauntlet only coveres the upper
hand area. "

and given that the book talks about the gauntlet as a fingerless glove,
i guess that maybe he is refering to the fingers when talking about the
lower hand. but if so, its strange to not just use the word fingers.

typically a gauntly only covers the tops of the hands
and the fingers... but that is Medieval gauntlets.. I
could see someone refering to the "upper" hand as the
top or backside of the hand... the palm being the
lower hand...

thats how I would run it...

Man, I love a good melodrama!

There's plenty of "game companies" who do the same damn thing. Or, worse yet,
the ones that promise the world to their customers and deliver Shithole, Idaho
instead (nothing against Idaho, I guess, just an example of a crappy town name).
I just look at it as a pleasant surprise when I find some news nowadays that
doesn't revolve around something that Wizards of the Coast is doing.

I still plan to buy palladium titles no matter how
many times their asshole moderators keep banning me
from their forums.

... As for R talsorian, when they actually make
something i can play without having to trash 1/3rd of
the book.. I'll buy their new stuff eventually

(Can't say I'll buy anymore, already aquired all of
mekton and CP2020.)

Honsetly, I wasn't trying to be melodramtic and I apologize for
sounding as such. I am just saddened by the downward turn that RTG
has taken. Someone can take only so much disappointment before one

*shrug* My point was you might as well quit playing
anything other than WotC games if you are disappointed
by this. Most other gaming companies seem to be going
through the same, similar or worse conditions of
customer relations as RTG.

While ymmv on this, I consider at least that I have
enjoyed RTG's products past and present more than I
have a lot of other company's, so I'm willing to give
them whatever time they need to produce in. It's not
like I am in a hurry to buy many other gaming
company's products anyway, heh.

My own saddened disappointment lies not in companies
who have taken forever to produce and not given many
(if any in some cases) updates, but rather in
"popular" gaming companies who consistantly and
regularly are churning out hordes of mediocre crap
that gamers seem to be showing up in droves to
purchase at the expense of the publishing companies
who actually are doing something that's different and
interesting. WotC and WW, yes I am pointing my finger
at you specifically!

But one man's shite is another man's gold, so they
say...add a big ol' "imo" to all of this.

Killed the old mySpace when I had some, uhhh, problems...

I got a new 'Space, though. The one thing that bugs me is that I think
I had more on the old 'Space than I had saved, for some reason.
Anybody actually collect these things? Did I miss something in
reposting them? Hard for me to remember, so many things have happened
since then.

Anyway, I'm starting anew, and here's the 'Space I am doing it in. For
those who might have been keeping up, anyway...

I'm waiting for this, and no word is forthcoming. Last I heard, it was
taking a backseat to the release of CP v.3.0. Well, it's been out for a
while now, so how about some more word on the Gundam release? I'm
jonesing for a Mecha fix, but nobody wants to use Mekton rules. Please
tell me the Gundam game will release sometime soon! Any other
Mechaheads want to chime in on this? I've even started collecting the

I was lucky enough to go to GenCon with dark city games. While there, I spoke
with Mike at his booth, asking about any plans for Mekton. He told me that the
next mecha thing was gonna be Gundam, later this year.

Datafortress 2020 has moved, its new location is
http://datafortress2020.110mb.com/

The updates include Electric Dreams, my new Cybernetics catalogue,
mean to be fully compatible with Cheap FBC, Cyberwares of the World,
and the official rules, and is topped off by my own rules addendums
and new rules for therapy and cyberpsychosis. And in addition to
presenting a wealth of new cybernetics, it also has a compilation of
all the old cyber from all the official material, as presented in the
Cyberpunk Reference net book. The whole thing is as fully illustrated
as you have come to expect from Datafortress 2020.

Also new is Carnival, a small article presenting a scenario to be used
as plot hooks or the basis for an adventure. While the article itself
is written to take place in Night City 2020, it can be used in any
modern or near future game with little modification, provided that
city has anything remotely resembling a combat zone. The premise is
the corrupt government has grown tired of criminals have free reign in
the combat zone, and the violence spilling into the surrounding area,
so they wall it off, and declare it a free fire zone, posting open
bounties on all the criminals inside, turning the combat zone into a
literal hell on earth for a week.

In addition I have Mike Van Attas 2nd update for Cheap FBC, and have
made small updates to some of my older articles. New additions have
been made to Autumn Blade, NCPD, and Nomad Market.

Which for those who may not actually know is... what?

Well, I know it's http://www.talsorian.com/default.php

But some newbie gamer who just picked up a copy of an R.Talsorian game and said
"Hey, this game is great! Maybe I'll join a mailing list!" probably doesn't.

Well, if you've joined this mailing list it is easy enough to find as
the website's URL is both on the front page of this list's webpage, as
well as being in the Links section as well. Googling "R. Talsorian"
would find it quick enough as well. It's too easy to find the
information these days.

The site looks nice, it fits the mood that CP and other R.Tal games inspire
(well IMHO).
Good stuff all around!

Agreed, I think the general consensus is that the new site is a VAST
improvement on the old, it looks exponentially more professional compared
to the older version
