How incomplete a game system is it reasonable to post?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #43388 of 44223 |
On and off for a couple of decades (mostly off) I've been playing around
with a few game design ideas, not so much because they're likely to be any
better than anything else, but because I thought one or two ideas might be
"interesting". It's more a bunch of thoughts about how to organize a
generic game system, or possibly how to organize a small collection of
related game systems (I doubt I know enough about enough genres to make
something truly generic at this point).

A writeup of what I have now would be a couple of pages long. Is it worth
posting something as preliminary as that, or should I wait until I've got a
fairly complete "first draft" of a full system?

... I would say it is better to post something short and incomplete than something big and complete, since not all have time to read and comment long texts....
