Those are both great resources, and I definitely like the
Ships-are-characters idea that they're using.
My original plan was similar to Martin's, that the characters would add
their cliche to the ship's when doing combat.
One of my players suggested a system of having both the ship and the
pilot roll their cliche, and take the higher of the two.
The main point of any mechanic I end up using will be this - what's more
useful in a fight? A good pilot, or a good ship? I'm sure we can all
name instances of both, but the real question is...what's more fun?
