The snow had just begun to fall by the time the construction was done.  It didn't look like much.  Most of the facility was buried underground, with Agent's already inside settling in.  It looked like a small village had appeared overnight with a small power substation on the outskirts.  Even the crops and livestock had appeared rather suddenly.

The power station itself had several standard looking towers, and most of them were all in fact quite normal towers.

Most of them.

One was decisively not a normal tower.  It looked like one and acted like one, but at the same time it was a listening station.  It held some powerful equipment that demanded a good deal of power, generated nearby it.  It was close enough to gather com traffic from all across the system, and even spilling over into the nearby systems.  In other words, Federation Space.

It was really quite glorious, the Major decided with a grin on his face as he wiped away a bit of sweat and dirt.  He played the part here of a middle aged farmer, as most of the Agents did.

For now they would be focused on the planet, gaining a foothold and slowly begining to gather information on what was around them.  On the contested continent and beyond.  "Bring me the liason to that Ael`Riov.  She'll want a report soon about something," he said over the Inter-Platoon Communication.

The only question that remained was.  Why exactly was it snowing out.
