The juice was quite good. He swirled it around slowly in the small crystal tumbler in his hand. His back was against the wall, simply staring out a the others. To everyone around him, he was an agent looking over the crowd for anything unusual.
The truth was anything but.
"The Aylhr will be leaving for the Tegalash system within the day. There is a massive ion storm there, it will be sent to investigate it. Thus far we have lost a listening post to it, and the D`Daathak sent to investigate it."
Agent's used their inter-platoon devices almost exclusively when talking to one another. It lessened the chance that someone would listen in accidentally, or on purpose. "Close to Klingon space. Any extra activity on their side of the border."
"The ion storm is too heavy for us to get an active picture. They could be cloaked and we wouldn't know. The ship that was lost was the RIS Hlai'hwy. The Rhi`Galae Commander has her son on that ship... She stressed that to the Ael`Riov."
"What does the Tal`Diann think." The juice was sipped and slowly enjoyed. A political reason to go into the ion storm. Interesting.
"They believe the ship and listening post is still there. The Ael`Riov dismissed all concern from the Legate, it annoyed him greatly."
"So be it. Enjoy the rest of your session and the juice nearby. Standard reward with a little extra for the information about the Ael`Riov and the Rhi`Galae Commander. If the Ael`Riov was in the business of annoying the Tal`Diann, then she would be more dependant on what he had to say. An unusual tactic, but an intersting one none the less.
The two men hadn't even been in the same room, but the exchange went off flawlessly as it always did. The young Rihan was on the opposite side of the bulkhead, in a massage parlor near the bar that the Major had been drinking at. They never saw each other, and no one ever saw them together.
It was perfect.
