Hello all,

it was a real long time since last update of RekoNet. It is not forgotten,
but the time was missing. Now RekoNet is hosted on a new and much more
flexible server. This also means, that the scripting system and all the
related stuff is on this server which should result in faster updates.

Hopefully this means I will add every cardsets as soon as I get it. We
will see. I don't promise anything, but it is planned :-)

There is one WizSolitaire cardset included, which has not been released
somewhere else before.

I have still some stuff to add:
a) There is a new RKP-format from the original RKP authors.
b) some missing stuff
c) cardset formats used by pysol and KDE.

Mainly this means some programming to implement these data formats in the
format conversions.

I also planned to have an online format conversion, but I still miss the
main tool, a converter into the HAM reko formats. Any help with the
programming would speed up things :-)

Also a KIO slave for KDE to read the cardsets hosted on RekoNet would a
fine piece of work. We will see, what future brings.

And there are still lots of missing cardsets from the Amiga days. Anyone
who can send me some of them is really welcome.

Hello,

due to problems with my current web provider there may be troubles with
RekoNet in the next few days. Hopefully I can fix them without outages.

So if RekoNet is down it will be only temporary (I promise!). In worst
case I need to change the domain (hopefully not).

- added amount of donated money to website
- removed email addresses
- fixed links (e.g. the main REKO site has been updated a lot by Remy)
- added a new collection-set of cards for those of you, who love flowers

I also updated my scripts for building the HTML pages and all the files,
so future expansions are easier. This was the main reason, why updating
took so long. Now a single Perl script does all the work of checking,
preview production, zipping, sorting, ...

Please tell me if I have forgotten something (cardsets, newer programs,

P.S. I'm still active and try to update RekoNet, but have little time. But
now the evenings get longer and maybe RekoNet benefits from this :-)

In March next year RekoNet needs to repay it's server again for nearly
120US$. I already have most of the money for this, but I don't want to pay
120US$ for webhosting :-) So either Globat will give me a better price,
or I need to move.

Anyone here with a good suggestion where to move to?
Requirements:
- 1.5 GB space
- At least 20 GB traffic / month
- Erotic contents allowed
- Perl script

I payed, they took the money and still there are problems. We will see if

now. If anything is missing (e.g. authors information, cardsets, tools)
please tell me.

The Wiz->REKO in converted files are not included. These will be obsolete
soon, when I find the time to finish my online-cardset-converter.

I have been somewhat inactive with RekoNet in the last months. To get the
system up-to-date I would like all of you to inform me about any new files
you know about, new links and new software, anything which should be on
the site.

I try to update RekoNet till next week :-)

Another thing: If anyone could give me a pointer, how a HAM8 picture can
be generated from a 24bit data file (C source), I would set up an
online-conversion tool at the RekoNet site, which would allow to convert
sets on-the-fly.

Hi, Andreas!
Seems that people are slow in responding, so I'll give it a try. I'm
perhaps the second best expert (knowledge, not gameplay...) in the
world on solitaire mahjongg games, so I think I'm qualified.

YES! YES! 'Great' were my first reaction. A game that can use both
tilesets in the 'Kyodai' format and .rkp/reko card sets! A sure winner
in the tile-matching solitaire mahjongg game; I would recommend
heavily on my sites.

But you have some more development and changes to make before it is
truly usable... :-)

First: More layouts (board designs), or it will fast becoming boring.
Mayby you should try to make the game load Kyodai layouts? Some other
games do this already.

[Just make sure you don't distribute the game with Kyodai's own
layouts and/or tilesets; the author will attack you with laywers from
eGames at once; I know from personal experience. Include only some
fan-made layouts and tilesets]

Second: Larger playing / screen size. I only get a 726x565 window on
my desktop and this is to small to be fully playable. Trouble
differensing the tiles.

Follows Third: Larger buttons....

Fourth: 'Accessories' OK - New, Restart, Undo, Hint, Highscore, Help,
Moves, Points, Timer.

Fifth: Two buttons please: One to load rkp and to load kyodai sets

Sixth: 'Extracting tool' ? Do you mean the dialog box when you click
on the button in the bottom right (to open card/tile sets)? It came up
in the language of my win98 installation (Norwegian).

Seventh: Kyodai tilesets loads fine and are playable

Eight: rkp/reko card sets dose not load fine...: and are not
