September 23th, 2006

* Missed my weekly update last week -- been quite busy. Wasn't able to
do much this week either, but I have added some new games and have
selected a new Random Game of the Week.
* I plan to spend the next few weeks adding Icehouse games and
piecepack games to the list. If you aren't familiar with either
Icehouse or the piecepack, I recommend that you check both of these
game systems out
* 3 new games have been added to the Canonical List, plus 5 new games
were added to the list on September 9th.

Random Game of the Week

[Joust] - Joust is a very brief two player game themed around
jousting, inspired by En Garde and Pico.

New Games (as of 09/23/06)

* [Activator] - An abstract game where the object is to occupy the
opposing player's home square for a full turn or reduce the opposing
player to a single piece or stack.

* [Armada] - A large fleet of small, fast ships against a smaller
fleet of slower, but more powerful warships. Which side will emerge
the victors in this battle of the seas?

* [Elemental Warriors II] - A dynamic, fast-paced duel for two
elementalists. Object: Run your opponent out of resources.
